Given the managements background (Manager and Coach)

I think we might guess that anyone who has previously played for Charlton, West Ham, Reading ...or Brighton might be on the shopping list !

Lets get Tom Jenkins back:D

As I said yesterday, we DO want an attacking wide/winger, who can create and score goals. However, we do NOT need another midget to add to our already vertically challenged team.

So we need someone who's 6'5 and can run like Usain Bolt?

Good luck with that. Get some new CBs in with height and that will do fine, but if the winger you need is short then don't refuse to buy him.

Brighton fans rate him but say he's lightweight and gets bullied off the ball. Well forgive me if I think we've actually got plenty of that sort of player already.

Having read that Brighton site thread, for some reason I have a vision of Ryan Smith in my head !

Please tell me I'm wrong and not to worry............

Thats exactly what i was thinking. There seems to be mixed reaction from the brighton fans. Not really sure what to make of it all.

According to Wiki, Terry Paine was 5 foot 7 and John Sydenham 5 foot 6; Cox is down as 5 foot 4, but what does 2 inches matter ?

I think the game's moved on since then. The average size of a pro-footballer was under around 5' 10 foot in the sixties, now it's more like 6' 2.

When you're talking about Cox 2 inches matters a lot!

Got a photo of my old man stood with Terry Paine...now either my dad is about three inches shorter than i realised, Terry was standing on a Yellow Pages or (dare i say it?) Wikipedia is talking wrong...

How abotu Arron Davies from Forest. Was a top performer in league 1 for Yeovil, tore Forest apart a couple of seasons ago so they bought him and he has failed to deliver for them. Might be worth a look. Not getting into their league side.

Just had an email from my Albion mate. Hardly a glowing reference...

"He is so frustrating. And small. Barely gets the ball over the first defender when taking corners, free kicks etc...

Infact, the only thing I would miss about him is the tiny Cox song!"

Slight change in plan then ...DON'T LET HIM TAKE CORNERS OR FREE KICKS

Simples ...........

OK so the first team is still having massive problems but of the four signings so far by AP, two have been solid, one has been OK and the other is struggling but has not really had a proper run yet. If there is anything in this Cox rumour, then I trust AP and co. to do their research and get the right players in. So if we sign him, I'm happy.

Well Swindon had a well over six foot right back with pace playing for them the other night. So if Danny Wilson can manage to find one, Pardew should be able to do the same.

Isn't Keith Gillespie free? Old, but I bet he'd be more useful right wing than our options.

I saw he'd signed for some Irish team the other day. Cork City I think

It does when we have a lightweight squad already, and terrified by mighty Swindon

of course size doesn't matter.....

....it's what you can do with the ball(s) !

If he's got pace.. and can put over a good centre - SIGN HIM !

In that Number... lists Terry's height at 5' 7"

...maybe your Dad was kneeling down at the time. ?
