Motorbike parking at St. Marys

Hi all,

 

Do any of you ride a motorbike to St. Mary's on a match day?

 

If so, are the parking bays out the back of the Kingsland stand free or do you need a pass?

 

One of my friends is having to ride down this weekend and is looking for a place to park.

Free mate just turn in the main entrance to the ground, ride round to the back of the Kingsland and job done!

How come motorcyclists get free parking? Discrimination of the highest order IMHO. I bet they break the law on the way to the ground too....

You used to have a free permit, but I don't think you have to now. I havn't had one for 3 seasons now and get in no problems. Be warned that if you get there 30 mins. or later b4 kick off they won't let you in untill the game has started.

Do you really need to park a motorcycle? Surely you can just chain it up to a park bench or outside the video shop, or simply lay it down on the floor like a bmx.

Officially you need a permit and sometimes they are asked for but they are free and easy to get hold of. If you ring the club they will send one out

Cycles are free also and no permit required. Also quite funny cycling home after a few bevvies!

As others have said it's free. A word of warning though- get in before 2.30pm otherwise the security guys will turn your mate away.

You do officially need a pass, although I have never been asked for mine. You can get in after 2-30, but you have to wheel your bike through, they won't let you ride it.

I've been thinking of doing this virtually since SMS opened! Is there anywhere to stash your leathers, lid etc. or are you expected to wear them 'til 5pm?!:confused:
