OK so 1st conspiracy theory of the season....

 

AP to NC we need to buy 5 players

NC oh that wasn't in the plan

AP OK well fair enough, let's see how the first 3 games go and then revisit this

I actually think it's more to do with the team selection.

 

Lallana isn't a left-midfielder, Wotton isn't good enough and the team is unbalanced. Ideally, I'd like to see this quartet for our midfield:

 

Lallana - Schneiderlin - Gillett/Hammond - Mills/Holmes

 

It's a forced selection at the moment though unfortunately, as Mills is Injured and Holmes is off.

 

not got much else to choose from.....

Where have you heard the news about Holmes? I appreciate you can't name your source, but how reliable is it? Makes no sense whatsoever to sell Holmes as he's our only natural winger!

I agree, but unfortunately I don't think we have anyone else. James isn't effective enough in that position IMO, and Thomson isn't ready just yet, he's more of an impact player.

The only hope is the fact that they have battered us and deserve to win easily (as it sounds on the radio) but are only one nil up.

 

The kind of game if it was the other way round Saints could easily **** up and end up with only a point or even losing if the tide turns. So Swindon could still blow it.

 

I know its a long shot, but it's all I've got for you.

It's currently 36C here, feels like 42C with the humidity and topped 46 earlier today. Quite windy though so not too unpleasant although I didn't bother heading to the driving range this afternoon

 

We expect a high of 39 tomorrow but it will be the only high unless we turn this around

I just peeked at my predictions in the league and we're actually doing slightly better than I anticipated. I guess I should be happy.

I honestly cannot think of a worse performance?

 

At least we created a few chances in other games....but there's nothing from us, not a thing.

 

Got a feeling this may change AP's ''1 or 2'' players line.
