the saint in winchester Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 Confirmed by .. who? Not even by Wiki. A player known to Dean Wilkins, so possibly a signing. Colchester without a manager, at time of posting. Averages 4 goals a season. Midfielder. We await to see if this is confirmed within 24 hours, as you suggest it will be.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 the captain of another club too.. poor show of intent why take other teams best players? makes no sense

Thedelldays Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 .. this does not fit in with struggling in league 1 and just surviving relegation\why cant we just show some ambition...
S-Clarke Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 this does not fit in with struggling in league 1 and just surviving relegation\why cant we just show some ambition... I hope we've paid £5m for him, otherwise i've had it with ML.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 i know....the club are penny pinching..why would we do this..? Perhaps we can sell our best player to make it fair?
saint1977 Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 Article to be on Saints OS very soon according to their Tweet. Good - Wilkins will know him well and Hammons gets his foot in having seen him play a couple of times. Means we won't be seeing too much more of Wotton hopefully. Feel a bit sorry for Colchester.

Pancake Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 Looks like an interesting add to the sqaud. To play along side Morgan in the middle?

vin Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 Steve Claridge seemed to rate him a couple of years ago: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2007/sep/25/newsstory.brighton Sounds ideal.
krissyboy31 Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 born in Hastings.....so should be up for a battle One in the eye for AP!!
S-Clarke Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 At least we're adding ''captains'' down the spine of the team. Now all we need is a CB....who is the captain of his current team
Thedelldays Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 will this go some way to satisfy the masses who think we are not doing enough Murty Harding Lambert (the divisions best striker) now this guy (a rival captain) with more to come...does this show we are penny pinching or not showing intent.. ffs, a win tonight and it will be automatic promotion again..
Hatch Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 Looks like an interesting add to the sqaud. To play along side Morgan in the middle? A Hammond Morgan combination sounds good

DD, yes we are showing intent but let's be honest we are still rebuilding for next season.
SO16_Saint Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 this does not fit in with struggling in league 1 and just surviving relegation\why cant we just show some ambition... Why is this not showing intent, TDD? It's what Man City have done, but on a much much smaller scale. Slowly taking the better players from our rivals. I think its a good move personally.

S-Clarke Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 DD, yes we are showing intent but let's be honest we are still rebuilding for next season. ..and by the looks of it, what a bloody good team we may have. We're filling it with all of the other teams best players...only one way we're going if we do that! (Ok - hammond and Lambert so far - but still, it's intent IMO.)
modern matron Posted 18 August, 2009 Posted 18 August, 2009 Good news! Wotton's replacement hopefully!
