Colinjb Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 Currently without a club, is said to be weighing up his 'options' and certainly a livewire. He can run and run and run and is a proven goalscorer at Championship level. Personally I think we should get him in. (Assuming he would come to League 1 anyway.)
Doctoroncall Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 A good shout if it wasn't for his I'm bigger and better than Coventry attitude problems. This is probably why he hasn't gone to a club by now.
Saint_Si Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 This would be a claaaaass signing, although cant see him drop down a division to play for us, sadly.
Master Bates Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 yes please..... You're doing it wrong, it should have been Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
raucebysaint Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 League One has to be better than League none..
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 This would be a claaaaass signing, although cant see him drop down a division to play for us, sadly. If the money is "right" players can usually be persuaded to drop a league.
skintsaint Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 and is a proven goalscorer at Championship level. 101 games - 18 goals...ish
70's Mike Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 If the money is "right" players can usually be persuaded to drop a league. exactly
St.Patrik Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 League One has to be better than League none.. I totally agree with you on this. Better a paycheck from a L1 team then non at all....
saintray Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 I just saw a story about him on sky sports, and thought it would be a class signing, all depending whether the poles leave though, am i right in thinking he can play attacking midfielder aswell?
Colinjb Posted 17 August, 2009 Author Posted 17 August, 2009 101 games - 18 goals...ish When used properly he is. At Cov he ended up on the wing.
skintsaint Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 When used properly he is. At Cov he ended up on the wing. 2 goals in 15 for Barnsley up front
SaintRichmond Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 A good shout if it wasn't for his I'm bigger and better than Coventry attitude problems. This is probably why he hasn't gone to a club by now. Hmmm .... we 've got one of those.... havn't we Grzegorz ...????
Crowds Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 In the article it says he turned down an offer from Sheffield united and there is apparently intrest from Newcastle... I agree would be a good signing but if his attitude what was wrote above I can't see it happening, though I'd love it to!
Micky Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 101 games - 18 goals...ish When used properly he is. At Cov he ended up on the wing. 2 goals in 15 for Barnsley up front Right - best get him back on the wing again then eh...! 1 in 5 is hardly proven, and right now if we could get somebody who could weigh in with goals from midfield it would be a bonus. Decent player - but to my mind - tends only to 'turn up' when the Sky cameras do!
Cabrone Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 2 goals in 15 for Barnsley up front I'd rather try and keep Rasiak - he is much better at scoring goals if he gets the service. Top priority is a ball winning central midfielder, a good wide midfielder and a decent centre half.

Top priority is a ball winning central midfielder, a good wide midfielder and a decent centre half. agreed. But i would still be delighted if we could get mifsud in
S-Clarke Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5495695,00.html Don't think we've got a chance - looks like he wants to go back to Malta.
Colinjb Posted 17 August, 2009 Author Posted 17 August, 2009 Erm: "At this stage of my career, I have no intention of returning to Maltese football"
S-Clarke Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 Erm: "At this stage of my career, I have no intention of returning to Maltese football" Ok - i skim read it and assumed that. my bad...

He would only come for the money, and he has hardly set the world alight to date has he?
Stu Man Do Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 Right - best get him back on the wing again then eh...! 1 in 5 is hardly proven, and right now if we could get somebody who could weigh in with goals from midfield it would be a bonus. Decent player - but to my mind - tends only to 'turn up' when the Sky cameras do! I totally agree RE: Sky cameras a player only ever known for his decent game against the Man utd reserves in the league cup! No thanks.
Chez Posted 17 August, 2009 Posted 17 August, 2009 who said Misfud was quick? Quick like Saga or compared to Wotton, but quick as in fast, I don't think so.
