Same old same old. Winning would feel weird anyway! Quite clearly we still have gaps in the team. Pace, experience, centre backs and wingers. Get these, win league. Simples.

So?

Pardew said it's going to take time, it isn't like he's had a long time to prepare and bring in the players he wants to, it seems some people want us to win every single game, it isn't going to happen, there's no point being so negative at this stage when there's still another another 44 games left and another 132 points to be won.

people said the same the seasons we went down .... dont worry it will get better!

So would you like to tell him what actually is a man? Is it 18 because thats the legal age, or is it after playing so many games or mid 20's? Wotton qualifies all these but I dread a team full of Wotton's. If we truly have a 5 year plan then we will want to keep playing some of the 'kids' and let them get better. It hasn't harmed Bale, Walcott, Surman etc development by being thrown in as teenagers.

Read all my posts. Wotton is not for me.

By 'man' I refer to experienced professional player as opposed to defeatist Lowe-bought inexperience.

Does Merrington add ANYTHING?

Tactical insight, an idea of what's going wrong, the weather forecast? Anything at all?

"The (travelling) Saints fans will be disappointed". No sh*t, Dave.

Do i detect the first rumblings of discontent.

Its not APs fault. He has a team of utter crap with one half decent player called Lambert that HE bought. Now we need a few more Pardew signings and the removal of the League 2 standard players we currently have.

IMO it can:

1) Inspire the current players to try harder

2) Reassure the fans he is looking for players quickly

nice one..you have no idea how to create team spirit

when was the last time a manager came out and said his team is ****

If they haven't got the ability, trying hard won't make up for it.

Thats why I'll never race in F1. ;)

Well, 600 went in hope today.

On the way back could anyone who chats on the phone to them ask them to keep their eyes peeled to see where we left our midfield?

perhaps they went for a Burger at the Services and got left behind as they sure as heck ain't at the game today

5 mins sod that dinner calls

Correct - we have too many League 2 level players.

And the scary thing is, Rupes thought they would be OK for the CCC.

Edit - and not just the young'uns -Whotton for example.

What is this about kids, we only started with 3 youngsters today

I think we refer to 'kids' as being a product of our football academy thrust well before their time and ability into the frontline.

They play like kids rather than being so.

just sums up what we all knew already, we are still 3 or 4 players short to compete in this division. AP knows that, hopefully the signings will follow, and quickly

Wonder if he has been sold a pup? I cannot imagine he has happy that Liebherr has only let him bring in one paid transfer.

Yeah, I bet he's gutted at having only spent just over a million so far............... in league 1.

So basically even if we had a quality youngster amongst us, say another Walcott (I'm not saying we do) you still wouldn't play him basically. I remember our team of profesionals under Burley... don't remember too many people being overly happy with their work effort.
