kpturner Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Another good save and no Saints players picking up the rebound
obelisk Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 It might take a while to reach the heady heights of 0 points at this rate.
SaintRobbie Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 I'd like to think we are one of the better teams in this division too. And if we are not now, we bleddy well should be by September. Not yet - we're one of the worst! Officially - THE worst.
Edmonton Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Strange isnt it? Unless Pardew has a point to prove about youth. Point well proved. Inspired Pardew.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 3-1 What a pile of clueless shyte !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arizona Posted 15 August, 2009 Author Posted 15 August, 2009 Legend decision Pardew, Losing 2-1, Saga and Pato on the bench, so brings on Lancashire... What's the point in throwing on another striker? There's nothing wrong with the two we've got, they just aren't getting decent service.
S-Clarke Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 oh well this game has probably come too early for us. Huddersfield are settled...and we're just starting. As i said...Pard's will have learnt alot today and i can assume we will now dive into the market with even more urgency.
Amesbury Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 3-1. Bring on "we're going down" etc. hardly a great start
DG Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Goodbye to preseason optimism and hello to reality o/
Saint Without a Halo Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Everything changes but nothing changes!
Thedelldays Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 oh well this game has probably come too early for us. Huddersfield are settled...and we're just starting. As i said...Pard's will have learnt alot today and i can assume we will now dive into the market with even more urgency. lets hope so
NY Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Feck this - I'm going to work on a suntan/skin cancer and do something less damaging than wasting my Saturday morning with this crap.
krissyboy31 Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Legend decision Pardew, Losing 2-1, Saga and Pato on the bench, so brings on Lancashire... Don't suppose it crossed your mind he might have an injury.
ART Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 See you can log on free to the Saints player Live Match Console like we could previously with the Sunderland. Text commentary, statistics. other games etc. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/player/LiveMatches/0,,10280,00.html
brightspark Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 3-1 A big defeat should really get the alarm bells ringing. MORE SIGNINGS!!!!! When will we have some fun? Haven't had it now for 2 and a half years.... may sound silly, but in order to gain confidence and not get left behind with our minus points... Swindon is now a must win game.
dubai_phil Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Perry's legs have gone, so Olly comes on Thomas is knackered gives away a free kick and a final warning Free Kick great save and they are quyicker to the ball again. Width AND fitness by the sounds of it again Sound like we are lucky to keep it to 3 at the moment
Amesbury Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Well, at least we can learn from this. can we stop learning and start winning
forever a red and white Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 more fool me, predicted to lose 3-1 but put a bet on to win by that scoreline, should use common sense in future and mty god we need a CB and CM
Saint Without a Halo Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 With possession being 72 % to 28% for huddersfield we deserve everything we have got!
tommi Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Glad to see normal service has been resumed. In simple terms we are still not anywhere near good enough. We need at least 5 signings who can improve the team (not add to the squad)
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 3-1 What a pile of clueless shyte !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excellent contribution again from our armed forces rep... Shame it wil be his last of the day as he is too tight to spend a fiver.. Bye for now....
SaintRobbie Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Well, at least we can learn from this. Nothing we didnt know already though. We need to buy men and quick. We need a team that can compete in this league and beyond. We must get in some experience and cut the kids contribution down to fighting for bench places.
Edmonton Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Don't suppose it crossed your mind he might have an injury. Even if he did, we were still losing the game so could still have bought on a striker and gone for it. Seem to remember Millwall bringing on a couple of strikers last week against us and not doing too bad afterwards..
gaz Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Sucess doesn't happen overnight, especially with the crap that Pards has inherited.
S-Clarke Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 A big defeat should really get the alarm bells ringing. MORE SIGNINGS!!!!! When will we have some fun? Haven't had it now for 2 and a half years.... may sound silly, but in order to gain confidence and not get left behind with our minus points... Swindon is now a must win game. Agreed, i know what you mean. Once we settle a team out there, we'll do ok IMO. We're way tooooo lightweight for this league atm, esp away from home. Lambert is a start though...as proven today.
kpturner Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Goodbye to preseason optimism and hello to reality o/ What did you have to be optimistic about?
Thedelldays Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Even if he did, we were still losing the game so could still have bought on a striker and gone for it. Seem to remember Millwall bringing on a couple of strikers last week against us and not doing too bad afterwards.. yes...nice one let a player play on with an injury in a shortage position and wait for him to be out for weeks.. great idea, well put
SaintRobbie Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Pardew is clueless ... time to get rid. LOL... errr.. methinks not.
matthieu Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Why are people starting to call for pardew to get sacked after just 2 games FFS! ok we're playing crap today, but give the man a chance and we are going to lose a game every now and again
brightspark Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 I'd like to see Pardew come out after the game and admit that the team isn't good enough. Any comments along the lines of "we had an off day" or "this team can play better" will be bad news for the season
SaintRobbie Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Sucess doesn't happen overnight, especially with the crap that Pards has inherited. A neat summary.
S-Clarke Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Pardew is clueless ... time to get rid. I'd hope that is posted in jest, but with our fans...you never know.
once_bitterne Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Pardew out? Wonder if he has been sold a pup? I cannot imagine he has happy that Liebherr has only let him bring in one paid transfer.
sydney_saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Swindon will beat us if we play kids. And they are one of the worst teams to Huddersfield's one of the best teams in this league. Marcus - time to remove the final Lowe legacy and buy some men. Don't wait until Christmas. So would you like to tell him what actually is a man? Is it 18 because thats the legal age, or is it after playing so many games or mid 20's? Wotton qualifies all these but I dread a team full of Wotton's. If we truly have a 5 year plan then we will want to keep playing some of the 'kids' and let them get better. It hasn't harmed Bale, Walcott, Surman etc development by being thrown in as teenagers.
SaintRobbie Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 I'd like to see Pardew come out after the game and admit that the team isn't good enough. Any comments along the lines of "we had an off day" or "this team can play better" will be bad news for the season I agree.
Edmonton Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 yes...nice one let a player play on with an injury in a shortage position and wait for him to be out for weeks.. great idea, well put Did I say let him play on? No I said take off a defender and put on a striker...Read what I said before you start mocking my English.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 We've had a bad game, looks like a bit of an over-reaction on here though.
Thedelldays Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 I'd like to see Pardew come out after the game and admit that the team isn't good enough. yes,,, that will help
Saint Matty 76 Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 hardly a great start So? Pardew said it's going to take time, it isn't like he's had a long time to prepare and bring in the players he wants to, it seems some people want us to win every single game, it isn't going to happen, there's no point being so negative at this stage when there's still another another 44 games left and another 132 points to be won.
Asaint4ever Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 i dont recall us having 1 decent attack? this just sucks! we need sort our midfield out asap. god help us
Colinjb Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 At least the Skates have been shockingly hopeless. Piquionne 'out of his depth.' No kidding.
