Sturrock was not sacked. Don't lets go back to the old habits of changing the facts in order to make a post.

OK, forced out by being undermined by a useless and arrogant chairman, if you want it in long-hand!

A reminder to anyone who suggested that MLT should have been our new manager that it wouldn't have worked

Hmmm perhaps true that MLT would not have worked but not sure how someone else getting and losing a job at a different club is proof it wouldn't have worked?!

Maybe, wonder how the Norwich fans feel about Gunny now - he was certainly a legend before (arguable whether he was their MLT), but is still?

Yeah - right

Didn't he leave by that well known euphemism 'mutual consent' with a trail of NDAs duly signed?

It gets on mt tits that everyone appears to have to appologise, when he should be the one to say sorry....

Love it... It says they were wrong to suggest he sacked 10 managers and ......

nothing else, no record straight lol

Meanwhile, he's done the "attack the press" thing now. Let's hope he isn't trolling through here with his lawyers!

Phil do you think anyone has ever heard Rupert say Sorry!

Ah well he is gone but you are right to say it is worthwhile filling in all the gaps in the whole sorry saga. My only surprise is that Rupert never made himself manager - I think it would have happened had he stayed!

Off to darkest Yorkshire now - 3 points would be nice but it's more about having a football team to support than anything else! Last time I was in Yorkshire I was almost sitting next to Rupert but that's a long story.

I wonder how many managers have been sacked after a 4-0 away win against a team above them in the league table...

I do not think that Gunn was popular with the players

It could well be they (collectively) said, after Colchester,... " See what we can do without him" .... then went out and beat Yeovil 4-0 ..

Far fetched ????? ......... Saints players have got rid of Managers over the years ...........

As with the Mail .......... rather hollow don't you think ???

How many Millions have either paper had to shell out

I thought you could still express an opinion in this country ........... mine is that he SACKED Ten Managers ........... How else did they leave .... of their own free will ????

Ah but the record is straight, I believe the apology is in regards to The Sun saying Lowe sacked Nigel Pearson, which he did not.

"sacked" ... ???? Moot point .....Lowe did not "renew" his contract ..... he did not want him ......so, in my book ... he Got Rid Of Him

Legally not a sacking ........but, Morally True To Form

I have known the Sturrock family for many years and this one was mutual. None of the ****** spouted at the time was correct, just an unfortunate collection of small incidents that steam rollered out of control. Luggy is free to comment on this one when he wishes, but I really doubt we will hear anything because that is the type of person he is!

I thought PS came out and admitted he could not handle the pressure and his declared illness

The carpet fitter who was working on Luggy's new house at the time told me that he said "I think they're trying to get rid of me". Make of it what you will. As for Lowe, maybe 'sacked' is not the exact legal term. Shall we agree on: 'got rid of'?
