When people say the word Legend is over used, they mean it should be kept for people like Les Paul. Total guitar hero, master of the instrument and player until the bitter end.

 

Hats off to you Les, i will peel a few licks off for you tonight.

Slash My friend & mentor Les Paul died today at 94, he was one of the most stellar human beings I've ever known, rest in peace Les.

What I'd give for a '59 Gibson Les Paul. (Actually, 'give' is probably the wrong word for the world's most expensive production guitar - I'd have to sell the house).

 

LP's death is very sad, but his legacy and influence in modern music is immense.

Proper legend and a sad loss. His legacy at least includes the greatest guitar known to mankind and my personal favourite. I too will crank out a few tunes for him.
