Ive been a directors guest once last season, not the same but still got the food and warmth on a cold night! Seats are nice but I didnt enjoy not being able to sing / swear / stand up and tell the ref what I thought of him...

It was the season before last now that I think about it, met lawrie mac and a few others. If it was rupes' year I probably woudlnt want to let myself near him after a few bevies!

I've been to Stoke a few times and enjoyed the 'posh seats' there last season. Lovely food, great bar, entertainment and some half decent football (well, compared to what we have been used too.) A top afternoon.

Would feel weird doing it at SMS though.

could just get w@nkered in the bar

It is a cash bar. There are cheaper and better ways to get w@nkered than drink the overpriced poor, quality beer that they sell there. I have done the more expensive version twice before and enjoyed the experience very much.

also i was saying i was going to beat him up, but im not overly violent so i was just talking rubbish haha.

Yes i think you probably are

Went corporate for the last couple of matches last year when I was worried we might not get another season (Mick Channon for Palace, Terry Paine for Burnley). Decent food and as much beer or wine as you can drink (it's only a cash bar if you're on the spirits), although I didn' push the boundaries.

A bit more polite than getting sloshed in the pub but worth it once a season I reckon.

I've been about 4 times now, always very good. One time (v Barnsley) we were upgraded foc to an executive box. We were next to a box full of Barnsley fans and it all got a bit lairy when they went 2-0 up (all good banter to be fair). Imagine how I reacted when we equalised in extra time only for Barnsley to go straight down the other end and win it! I was with the wife (first ever game) and daughter, they both saw another side of me that day.

I have absolutely no reason to lie, i dont need to impress any one here.

The fact you think it might impress people is the interesting bit.

Well yes but the full monty version was well over a 100 quid I seem to remember, so unless you're going to spend 50 quid at the bar (which takes some doing given that it's not open during the actual game) this is the better option to be honest.

As an aside, there was some contact with the club about doing this kind of thing last season and they seemed relucatant to move away from the premium option, so it looks like some things have changed for the better off the pitch too.... I got the impression they had a business model and were intent on sticking to it no matter what. The only problem being of course that model was designed when we were in the prem... when it was a lot easier to attract coporates and they didn't need to worry so much about regular punters who just want to splash out now and then. I'd like to see them make this a regular offer, plus at least a partial refund for ST holders who want to do this.

Did it last season for the Burnley game. The more expensive version with free bar etc. Not cheap but a good experience and had a couple of interesting fellas on the table, plus one old guy on his own who reckoned he was ITK about a takeover.

Edit - on the off chance that you post in here, Mr ITK, you were talking ******** then and we could tell.

Have done corporate at a number of clubs (mainly London) but never at SMS !

Main reason is that I am happy beside my cronies in my regular ST seat !

I will give it a go sometime though, just to compare !

Did it last season v QPR, got battered, met MLT and made a plonker of myself, but he didn't mind. Met Franny too.

It's well worth the money.

I am 6' 7" tall, and it would cause me considerable back pain to have to "rub shoulders" with Simon Gillett, who is only 5' 5" tall per the official site.

Not unless they gave him a box to stand on. But I would be far too embarrassed to ask for special equipment.

Therefore, this offer doesn't appeal to me one bit.

Yeah, been in an exec box several times...mixed with, let's say, certain influential people at the club. It's always nice somehow to get back with the rabble and sit in MY seat with me flask and sarnies (not prawn BTW). I actually think my view half-way up the Kingsland in row W on the centre-line is better than the Exec Boxes TBH.
