Pancake Posted 13 August, 2009 Posted 13 August, 2009 Lallana is 21 DOB 10.5.88. He is competing and compared against Cesc Fabrigas who is one year older DOB 4.5.87 and Theo Walcott DOB 16.3.89. While I was at it there are two other players at Arsenal - Gibbs DOB26.9.89 and Ramsay 26.12.90. I only chose these as I knew Arsenal had lots of young players and these are fairly representative of Lallana's age and development. I think it would be hard to argue that he isn't quite a way behind their progress and they are doing it in the Premier League. Surely Lambert (16/02/82) is up against Berbatov (30/01/81) then. So therefore Lambert isnt good enough either? Should we not be happy that our players can play at the level we are at? Or should we only cheer when we have the best players in the world?
