Um Bongo Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Newcastle Away for me. Only because I have the week off! Pompey, although we would probablty get beat, would no doubt be awesome in the build up.
forever a red and white Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 as much as would love to play pompey home or away, i couldn;t take losing agaisnt them and lets be honest that would be a very strong possiblity. Get a good prem club bit of money go out focus on the league will be fine by me
stevegrant Posted 12 August, 2009 Author Posted 12 August, 2009 Arsenal away - new ground, nice cash bonus. Whoever we get drawn against, we'll be the underdog, so it really makes very little difference.
Saintandy666 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 I like the idea of pompey at home. Would probably lose, but would be a great match.
SaintDonkey Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Am I the only one who would like us to see us through to the third round? Premiership sides are all very nice but even Pompey would tear us apart. I'd take Bristol City at home please - I'm sure Rickie would love to score a hatful against them!
saints_is_the_south Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Am I the only one who would like us to see us through to the third round? Nope which is why before i found out about the whole seeding malarky in the 2nd round that i wanted Hereford or somebody at home! From the seeded teams, as already posted i think Reading at home would be an interesting one which i think we'd have a decent chance in. Other than that any of the lower CCC teams at home.
Whitey Grandad Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 What's with the seeding? Is it to guarantee the 'lower' clubs a decent payout?
SuperMikey Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 P*mpey at home! Get a couple more players in, a few more wins under our collective belt and we could 'ave 'em!
The9 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 I could happily see Man City (reserves) come to St Mary's for a thrashing...
Danny Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Arsenal away - new ground, nice cash bonus. Whoever we get drawn against, we'll be the underdog, so it really makes very little difference. Except Arsenal aren't in the second round...
Hatch Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Arsenal away - new ground, nice cash bonus. Whoever we get drawn against, we'll be the underdog, so it really makes very little difference. That'll be good as my company have a box at the Emirates. (for the 3 rd round)
Colinjb Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Skates at Home, or a close by (for me) Midlands side away.
Crab Lungs Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Portsmouth home. And I'd have a wager we'd beat them. **** me, that'd be lovely... compounding their miserable existence even more... ohhh man, the thought of it gives me a lazy.
SamKimish Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 I think we need to bring in Ditmar Van Nostroolboy before the next cup game IMHO.
RonManager Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 I think we need to bring in Ditmar Van Nostroolboy before the next cup game IMHO. GeddonJanner - plays for the Green army dunner?
chrisobee Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Top 8 prem teams join in the 3rd round. Think it's top 7 as 13 teams from the PL in the draw tonight. I assume it is those qualified for Europe, Man U, Chelseas, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Fulham.
Spudders Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 P**pey away please. Reason being: they'd be strong favourites, if we lose it won't be a surprise BUT if (and it would be a big if) we win they will never hear the end of it: losing to us at Notarf whilst two divisions higher. Just the thought of that makes me smile
RonManager Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 10 minutes to go - are we going for the long ol' poke?
saints_is_the_south Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 I have a feeling we are going to get the skates either home or away, its meant to be!
SaintNeil90 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 heart says skates at home. head says anyone else. I think we need to bring in Ditmar Van Nostroolboy before the next cup game IMHO. I love that advert. Is it a ****take of Van Nistelrooy? I cant decide whether its that or just a random funny sounding foreign name.
gjphilsaint Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 It seems that part of the draw is already complete... unseeded teams should know already if they are away or home but opponents not drawn yet.. have i got that right?
saints_is_the_south Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 They've just said on SSN that Leicester will be away & Forest will be at home. How have they decided that already?
gjphilsaint Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 MLT making the draw .. so Pompey it is then!!!
SaintNeil90 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 I think we need to bring in Ditmar Van Nostroolboy before the next cup game IMHO. It seems that part of the draw is already complete... unseeded teams should know already if they are away or home but opponents not drawn yet.. have i got that right? Listening to sky sports they said something about forest and either coventry or hartlepool being at home. Anyone know if we are home or away?
Tractor_Saint Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 MLT is drawing it!! Woo hoo, stick Poopey in yer left pocket and Saints in your right and shuffle those balls.
markr27 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 It seems that part of the draw is already complete... unseeded teams should know already if they are away or home but opponents not drawn yet.. have i got that right? Seems so. No news on Saints' fate though?
saint lard Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 MLT making the draw, come on fella, make it a good one.
Bensfcno1 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Le Tissier To pair us with Pompey! Hope not, as i cant see us beating them at the moment!
Verbal Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Think of the least interesting team we could possibly draw - and that's who we'll get. Simple formula, works every time.
Causer Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Think of the least interesting team we could possibly draw - and that's who we'll get. Simple formula, works every time. Bolton it is then
