ruddick Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Talking with two today and very close on one other. Centre Half his main worry.
Asaint4ever Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 where have you seen/heard this? saints player!
Saint Charlie Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Can you quote him for those without Saints Player?
leithsaint Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Yeah, he didn't even seem certain that there would be one more this week. Maybe just keeping things low key.
Saint Charlie Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 After the game I thought he made it fairly clear there would be one signing before the Huddersfield game at the weekend.
NickG Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Radio solent after the game - he said "maybe one more before Saturday." Wasn't partcularly positive but if I had to over analyse and read too much into his tone of voice would say he sounded that little bit more likely than not!
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Live webchat today with Times Journalist Gary Jacob, couple of Saints (and a Pompey) mentions. here they are: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article6790202.ece 1:24 [Comment From Nicko] What do you make of Rickie Lambert signing for one of our league one rivals? Lack of ambition on Rickie's part? 1:25 Gary Jacob: Seems expensive, and Southampton have a couple of big signings next week by all account -------------------------------------------------------------- Talking with two today and very close on one other. Centre Half his main worry. Could the "very close on one other" be the signing before the weekend and the talks with 2 today be the "big signings" the Times journalist mentions in the webchat mentioned in another thread???
S-Clarke Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 One player who DID NOT play tonight is Charlton s midfielder, Thiery Racon. - he is 99% of the time their first choice midfielder. Pard's signed as Charlton manager and he was also mentioned as a possible target when pard's joined us. Again to get him, we'd be looking at a fee of £1m upwards - but he's awsome. Scored that cracking goal against us at SMS last season. Maybe that's the plan, eventually sign up all the players who've scored against us Although tbf by now, that's nearly the entire football league.
stardustonmyfeet Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 I know some people might try and remind me that Saints have never had a divine right to be in the premiership, but any Bristol Rovers fan who thinks signing for us signifies a 'lack of ambition' really needs their head checked.

Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 they dropped 8 and played youth team. Which would explain their losing to Hereford.
