After the game I thought he made it fairly clear there would be one signing before the Huddersfield game at the weekend.

Wasn't partcularly positive but if I had to over analyse and read too much into his tone of voice would say he sounded that little bit more likely than not!

Could the "very close on one other" be the signing before the weekend and the talks with 2 today be the "big signings" the Times journalist mentions in the webchat mentioned in another thread???

One player who DID NOT play tonight is Charlton s midfielder, Thiery Racon. - he is 99% of the time their first choice midfielder.

 

Pard's signed as Charlton manager and he was also mentioned as a possible target when pard's joined us.

 

Again to get him, we'd be looking at a fee of £1m upwards - but he's awsome. Scored that cracking goal against us at SMS last season.

 

Maybe that's the plan, eventually sign up all the players who've scored against us

 

Although tbf by now, that's nearly the entire football league.
