Master Bates Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Just been with my mate, he said that a mate of his WAS stabbed in Yates Saturday, died on Sunday. Anyone who knows Kev in the Giddy Bridge ask him. Not nice news, RIP
thorpie the sinner Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Thats tainted the day, bad bad news!
Griffo Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Absolutely ****ing despise Millwall. RIP fella. Puts the whole Lambert and signing players into perspective.
washsaint Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 If that is really the case why is there nothing on any of the newswires/press? Surely a murder would have made front page: certainly for the Echo. Hopefully it's not true....and perhaps if it's not true MB you will stop posting utter, utter s***e as you have been prone to do for quite a while now - either very gullible or making things up for a kick.

Colinjb Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 You have no reason to lie about this mate, I really hope that if this is the case then they find the scumbag who did this awful crime and throw away the key. My thoughts to his friends and family.
St.Patrik Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 You dont make stuff like this up - RIP fellow Saint - really really sad to hear this news.
Hatch Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Why not a mention of this in any papers/news sites
Master Bates Posted 10 August, 2009 Author Posted 10 August, 2009 Why not a mention of this in any papers/news sites My mate asked the same.
Gorgiesaint Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Terrible news - to be honest I'm at a complete loss for what to say about the people who do this sort of thing. RIP - condolences to family & friends.
Colinjb Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Why not a mention of this in any papers/news sites So the scum involved don't get wind via the media and then protect their snivelling mate?
Danny Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 So did anyone see if Yates was cordoned off on Satuday and Sunday then? If it was the scene of a stabbing there would have been a huge police presence.
once_bitterne Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Can't believe that if this was true that it wouldn't have even made the local news. As we have all seen from transfer rumours, 'my mate's mate said' is never the most accurate of sources.
Asaint4ever Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 why why why do people go over the top? FECKING! SCUM! makes me sick! rip mate!
Thripp87 Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Obviously if true, terrible news!!!... But I was in Yates after the game watching WBA Newcastle and there certainly did not like a stabbing had occured five hours earlier. Dont believe it for a second.
Nolan Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 This was posted yesterday by Lordswoodsaints..... someone has to have it wrong... Nobody was stabbed in yates yesterday or outside,I was in there last night and I know the bouncers and there wasn't any trouble all day in or around there......it may have happened elsewhere but I doubt it is true.

If someone had been stabbed in there, it would have been closed for the whole day, if not longer.
the_barmy_saints_army Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 RIP; condolences to family & friends
Dan83 Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 So did anyone see if Yates was cordoned off on Satuday and Sunday then? If it was the scene of a stabbing there would have been a huge police presence. As I said in a previous thread, there was a lot of police outside Yates for most of the day, but seemed to me more so they could keep those inside Yates' apart from those coming down from Fat Cat way. I was in an office overlooking Above Bar, although admittedly there are few trees blocking a clear view of Yates. But I don't recall seeing an ambulance turn up - not before 4/5pm anyway (by which time, presumably, the majority of Millwall fans had scarpered back up to London). Although I can't see why this would be made up, I can't believe the Echo wouldn't have pounced on this.... when that Man U fan was attacked in Southampton a while back and left in a bad way it was all over the press.
Dan Johnson Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Just been with my mate, he said that a mate of his WAS stabbed in Yates Saturday, died on Sunday. Anyone who knows Kev in the Giddy Bridge ask him. Not nice news, RIP Was this football related?
RedWillie Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 If this has happened then we would have absolutely known about it by now. The Police would have appealed for witnesses etc, the place WOULD have been shut, if not then then it would be by now. This would be a murder enquiry, there would be OB all over Yates and the press would be having a field day FOOTBALL VIOLENCE etc... Please lock this thread as it is scaremongering at the highest level without any FACTS.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Has this ACTUALLY been confirmed anywhere yet?

Could not agree more, the press would love to jump on this story and Millwall would provide the ideal scapegoat as they are so well known for this. As I have said I was in Yates after the game and there was definatly not a stabbing from my perception.
Post-it note Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 My friends mate was told by hius uncles dads brother that somebody humped a dog in Yates on saturday. Can we lock this ******** until its either reported in the press or a statement from the club or police.
Master Bates Posted 10 August, 2009 Author Posted 10 August, 2009 Anyone added Yates as a friend on facebook? If so find out that way. See no reason why my mate would make it up.
stevegrant Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Via a contact at the Echo, apparently the police have absolutely no knowledge of any such incident. As such, I'm locking this.
