Woops!!! Was in dreamland, How about tommy smith? Watford need the money, and watford have said they might have to sell him. could sort out our right wing!!!

I WISH!!

Ahahaha. Would be nice. Though I think Reading is where he'll end up, if anywhere. Rejected Sheff Utd as he doesn't want to move home.

Henri Camara is a free agent and would do a fantastic job for us with the likes of Lamert. If money isn't a problem and there's no fees involved then he'd be a great signing. I say this as he no longer seems bothered by his international career so League One and Saints just might appeal to him.

Well Good Evening I have some news.

Gordon Strachan has reccomended Kilmarnocks Bryson to Murdoch and AP, however I have been told the bid is not for him.

The only two bits of news I have heard is;

Saints have requested he does'nt feature in the Carling Cup which I have no idea if compromised or agreed to.

A defender is in contract talks, 110% no way I will be able to find out anymore info on the defender e.g if he's a free agent or at a club etc

Watford are sniffing around Rasiak who I have has had the gaunlet laid down to him by AP.

Same source as the Rickie Lambert deal.

Get down to the bookies and put your money on the next signing being Charlton s Theirry Racon.

1) - he didn't play in the carling cup tonight and is usually their first choice midfielder.

2) - pard's signed him as charlton manager and always spoke highly of him

3) - he was mentioned as a possible signing when pard's first took charge.

just my opinion though, no Heinz.

they made 8 changes and played young players, Racon was on bench - wouldn't read too much into tonights selection

The old buzzer went of around 11pm with the name.......... Therry Racon

EDIT: Its just a maybe not much help

Keep up the good work Tac-tics, whose going to post the first video of his amazing skills ;)

Therry Racon, just looking on wikipedia... doesn't seem to have played much at all. Looking at google results seems to have had some sort of injury at some point though. Who knows though.

This from Charltons OS:

Therry Racon

About to embark on his third season in English football, cultured midfielder Racon was sorely missed during two spells on the treatment table last term.

Following an impressive pre-season, the Frenchman started the first game of the new campaign against Swansea City, only to suffer a metatarsal problem in the next league match, an injury which ruled him out until November.

By that time, Phil Parkinson had taken over as caretaker manager, and Racon returned and scored at Queens Park Rangers in his first game in charge - but the player's luck was out again when a knee problem flared up after the fixture and led to the star being sidelined until February.

He was a regular fixture from then on, but despite some excellent displays - not to mention three goals, including a brilliant long-range strike against Plymouth Argyle - Racon couldn't prevent the Addicks' slide into League One. In total, he played 20 times.

The schemer, signed by the Addicks in summer 2007 from Guingamp, was called up by Guadeloupe - a French colony in the Caribbean - for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup in July, although he eventually withdrew from the squad to concentrate on pre-season with his club.

Racon, who likes to perform a dance routine when celebrating a goal, began his career with Marseille but played just one match for the French giants, departing for Lorient on loan and then Guingamp before his switch to SE7.

A friend of Chelsea's Didier Drogba, Racon made six appearances for the Addicks in 2007/08, before a successful loan switch to League One side Brighton & Hove Albion towards the end of the campaign.

knew it.

One of the signings on pards wish list when he joined.

Hope so!

If he does leave, I hope he holds out for better than Plymouth. He should be playing for top 6 Cahmps team at least.

Of all the players likely to leave, I hope we hang onto him more than any of the others because we'll struggle to get a senior pro in with the kind of technical ability and work rate that Racon has and we probably stand more of a chance of hanging onto him longer term (should we get promoted at the first atempt) than we do Shelvey who will doubtless be off sooner rather than later, whatever happens next season.

For me, Therry and Semedo are probably the only two silver linings to the Pardew cloud.

But we have cash.

Haha - do you realise just how good that sounds? "We have cash"!!!

Only a few weeks ago we were on the verge of becoming extinct!

And now look...

From rags to riches indeed! :D

Anyway - what I meant by the South London article was the "Phil Parkinson says he is determined to keep hold of star midfielder Therry Racon" and the "The French-born playmaker" quotes.

"We have cash". lol. Never thought I'd ever hear those words ever again not so very long ago!

Racon is EXACTLY the type of player I have been beating on about us signing - someone to partner Scheiderlin at CM and take the ball through the centre or feed the wings. Would be an awesome signing IMO.

I played with Craig Mcallister at Eastleigh a few years back, he was a good player at non league level but as his record suggests at Exeter i do not think he will improve our squad.

In some respects he is a similar type of player to Lambert but perhaps not at the same level.

Isn't MS a creative MF though ? I think we lack a midfield organiser - in the Oakley mould- or a ballwinning battler.I know many see Gillett in this role but I'm not so sure of his pedigree to do this through the season.

Racon would be a quality signing, i thought him and shelvey really stole the show when we played charlton at the end of the season, plenty of invention and battle.

To answer a question earlier, yes i believe that Charlton are struggling financially, and believe that they are on there way to admin.

Where is Tac-Tics this morning? Hopefully some good news from him today,

still not sure whether he claimed to have info or whether he pleaded for us to sign him and got his wish!

Not knocking him either way.

Racon was an unused sub last night so while he didn't play he was still available for them. Does this mean he's now cup tied? Not that we've signed him or anything but it seems as if he'd cost a hell of a lot for a div 3 player and there'd be competition from CCC clubs as well.

Posted
I think you will have to play to be cup tied really. Not 100% sure tho : /

I think that once you are registered as a sub for that game then you are registered for that team in the competition. Therefore he would be cup tied after being on the bench last night.

Cant find anything to confirm it anywhere though so may well be wrong!

Posted
I have always thought that you were only cup-tied if you entered the field of play.

Not really a help, but there we are!

Im with you on this one - subs dont counts when it comes to being cuptied...(at least thats what I always belived)

Sure that's the case as well - which kind of makes me wander why Rasiak came on last night if Pards wants to off load him. I know its only the Carling Cup, but surely it lowers the value?

football league website says a player has to of "played for a club" in order to be cup-tied. if you sat on the bench you are not playing so i`d say that he wasn`t cup-tied! this could all however be pointless cause i don`t think charlton would sell to AP TBH

If we show the ££££ then they will sell....and this is something we seem to be doing at the moment!

maybe we will see would be nice as i rate him but i do think that they will do all they can not to sell him to us or any other team that may be challenging them at the top of L1 later in the season

You're right! The9 OUT!!!

Thanks!

I think you'll find there was a disclaimer with the fixtures (for a start at least one other game has been put on the wrong year due to a cut-n-paste error) -and for midweek cup games which might at the time have been played on either Tue/Weds and could be home OR away, I've gone with the Wednesday.

I think they actually made the draw after I'd created the file but before the date was confirmed.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
