Dr Octopus Posted 12 August, 2009 Share Posted 12 August, 2009 Stick with the Yelllow Submarine song, but change the chorus to: "Rickie Lambert is Southampton's Goal Machine, Southampton's Goal Machine, Southampton's Goal Machine..." How about changing Southampton to fc uk'in? I think it sounds better and less of a mouth full.

hamster Posted 12 August, 2009 Share Posted 12 August, 2009 (edited) The old 'two by two' song is so versatile, we could even have a verse for each player if people were serious enough about updating the songs. Never though should we lose our enthusiasm for OWTSGMI, slow or fast it's ours to last. It wasn't so long ago either, that Saints fans were acknowledged by York University as the 'most in-tune' singers in the premier league: http://www.york.ac.uk/admin/presspr/pressreleases/perfectpitch.htm .... When Kelvin's in between the sticks Hurrah, hurrah And Richie starts to take the p**s Hurraah, hurrah When Murty plays it down the line You know the boys are doing fine And we all stand up cos 'The Sainst Are Marching In' Knock.... Knock..... Who's there? etc etc...... or Stand up if you love The Saints Stand up.... I quite like the idea that we have a song that always leads into OWTSGMI though. RedAndWhite91 Posted 12 August, 2009 Share Posted 12 August, 2009 If we could get it going like that (obviously with different words and less scousers) then it'd be ace. RICKIE LAMBERT SOUTHAMPTON'S GOAL MACHINE!

Northam Girls Posted 15 August, 2009 Share Posted 15 August, 2009 saintrich told me that this got sung today, if it did, then I am a very happy man There were a bunch of us sang your song it for quite a while after he scored BUT we tried telling the lads to slow it down a bit - people were turning round and listening but couldn't get the words as it was sung too quickly. It sounded brilliant and I'm sure it will catch on - great song R&W :-)
