Thedelldays Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 Just got a new laptop and when i hook up to the internet via the wireless facility it seems alot slower than when i use a cable.. this was not the case with the old laptop any ideas..? cheers

Maybe you are sitting in a lead box. the router is in my living room which was where i was sitting at the time..so it should not be an issue.. my laptop is a compaq. mid range spec.... better than my old one (which was 3 years old) and that seemed quicker when using the wireless thing

Thedelldays Posted 13 August, 2009 Author Posted 13 August, 2009 sorted...was infected by spyware and slowed me right down to around 1mb...(i pay for around 10)... used the anti-malware and anti-spyware above and installed my norton and im all good
