spyinthesky Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 Reported in the Sunday Times today (so presume a relatively reputable source) that Fulham bid £11m for Crouch but Spurs won the day with a £9m offer. Apparently Big Al Fahid (the Fulham owner) Fax'd the offer to Dr Silly Man (or whatever his name is) but, apparently, the fax never arrived. Things to consider here. i) Peter Storrie, apparently, deals with all Pompey transfers and ii) Mr Storrie and Mr Redknapp are/were good buddies. What do you make of all this??
Micky Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 What do I make of it, simple - Dr Silly Man's fax is fooked...!
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 Business coloured envelopes involved somewhere..........allegedly;)
Joesaint Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 Back handers, or PC only wanted to go to Spurs which is what I thought.
NickG Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 thought it was openly reported that higher fees were agreed with Sunderland and Fulham but Crouch refused to go so they had to accept lower offer from Spurs
pilsburydoughboy Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 How much money will Storie and Droopy pocket between them. I will have money that a certain Scottish Agent brokered the deal. All in my opinion of course.
RedArmy Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 I think it had more to do with the skates desperation for money, and who was prepared to stump up the most upfront.
