Reported in the Sunday Times today (so presume a relatively reputable source) that Fulham bid £11m for Crouch but Spurs won the day with a £9m offer.

Apparently Big Al Fahid (the Fulham owner) Fax'd the offer to Dr Silly Man (or whatever his name is) but, apparently, the fax never arrived.

Things to consider here. i) Peter Storrie, apparently, deals with all Pompey transfers and ii) Mr Storrie and Mr Redknapp are/were good buddies.

What do you make of all this??

thought it was openly reported that higher fees were agreed with Sunderland and Fulham but Crouch refused to go so they had to accept lower offer from Spurs
