PaulSaint Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 According to the pundit at Krapnotarf there only seemed to be around 4k skate fans there for a match against the Scottish Champions. How many was it we had against Ajax, 22k? And they reckon they are the bigger club LO effing L !
Robsk II Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 No-one sane thinks they are the bigger club, if all was in parity. Fishy tw*ts.
samski saint Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 Didn't they have like 8,000 against Leeds two seasons ago.
Merovingian Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 result and performance of our new striker that matters, do not give a fook about attendance when its league position and current status that counts, right now we are the better club in hants, that may well change in 3 years but for now no contest. to be honest if we were both in the same league and you were getting 50k and us 1k - if we were above you and beating you attendance means sweet FA - n'est pas ? 2-0 pompey f/t - piquionne with both, not bad against equivalent of a bottom 6 prem side - sort of sides we will be down with this season
saint_stevo Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 bothered it was a friendly, we hardly packed the place out v Hearts did we
hypochondriac Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 bothered it was a friendly, we hardly packed the place out v Hearts did we Well there is a slight disparity between 9k and 21k!
saint_stevo Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 Well there is a slight disparity between 9k and 21k! we didnt have 21k v hearts
hypochondriac Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 we didnt have 21k v hearts We had more than double their attendance then
hypochondriac Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 5,158 v Hearts Woops meant Ajax. Still it's a **** attendance
Sfc90 Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 End of the day, who gives a fook whether they got 20,000 or 9,000. Look at us
NickG Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 that is poor for their only home preseason friendly - against Rangers.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 bothered it was a friendly, we hardly packed the place out v Hearts did we Why do you feel the need to defend them in the bragging rights ?
Arizona Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 Didn't they have like 8,000 against Leeds two seasons ago. Think so, must have been in the LC. I remember they had just over 11k in the next round at home to Blackburn. Anyway, attendance threads have signed Henry IMO.
NickG Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 we cannot argue that they are leagues above us in football world at the moment. they cannot argue that the blue few are miles behind us in support. No real arguments can be made on either.

So which one of you is correct? meet with him and discuss? According to news elsewhere you lot may be relegated quicker than even we anticipate!
dune Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 The Skates have always had a **** fanbase. They like to talk about the period just before and after WW2, but since their heyday they've been nothing. They're a noddy club that'll get between 8,000 and 12,000 once they're rooted back in the lower leagues.
revolution saint Posted 9 August, 2009 Posted 9 August, 2009 I don't care about portsmouth - I didn't when we were in the prem and I don't now. They seemed to have a chip on their shoulder due to living in our shadow for so long and sadly it seems as if we're starting to develop one too. Portsmouth? What is there really to care about? Apart from geographically close (which is a poor excuse for dislike) there's nothing.

PompeyLass Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Is anyone else bored of the "I'm better than you" arguement ? I went on Saturday & buried my head in my hands when a chorus of "stand up if you hate the scum" started. We're in dire straights at the minute & rather than sing/hear songs about a team that are nowhere near us in league status at the minute I'd prefer to hear songs getting behind my team.
FMPR Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Your Ajax attendance included the free tickets you got with you ST renewals....hardly rocket science is it
This Charming Man Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Why are people surprised? They've always had terrible support.
Torres Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Your Ajax attendance included the free tickets you got with you ST renewals....hardly rocket science is it I wouldn't be surprised if the attendance on Saturday also included all yuor season ticket holders. Any news on how many you've sold so far?
lee_saint Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Not even a full-strength Rangers team either, Although Weir and few others were playing.
St Landrew Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 I don't care at all about Pompey's attendance figures. I want to know if we've signed Skacel yet..? Didn't see him in the Hearts line up, so fingers crossed, eh..?

Jimmy_D Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Your Ajax attendance included the free tickets you got with you ST renewals....hardly rocket science is it So because some people there have already paid and agreed to go to EVERY SINGLE GAME this season, the fact they're there is somehow a bad thing? ...
PaulSaint Posted 11 August, 2009 Author Posted 11 August, 2009 Is anyone else bored of the "I'm better than you" arguement ? songs about a team that are nowhere near us in league status at the minute Bit of a hypoctical statement Pompey Lass?
PompeyLass Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Bit of a hypoctical statement Pompey Lass? Please explain how you found that hypocritical ? I was merely stating a fact.
Saints foreva Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Your Ajax attendance included the free tickets you got with you ST renewals....hardly rocket science is it If I remember, we only had 6,000 sold by the time Ajax came around.
