eurosaint Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Just out of interest has any of fans that boycotted because of lowe bought a season ticket this season? I'm sure there are plenty but please don't tell Guided Missile because he is on a revenge mission and would like to 'stick their ST's where the sun don't shine' (his words, not mine!). Personally, I am delighted to welcome them all back to the fold !
Michelle Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes thanks, and I couldn't give a toss what anyone thinks of my boycott, or my subsequent return. Roll on tomorrow.
mcjwills Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 The past is the past, we move on forward into a new era, be-aching about fans that did or did not go is a pointless and fruitless exercise.
Ewell Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes thanks, and I couldn't give a toss what anyone thinks of my boycott, or my subsequent return. Roll on tomorrow. No one could ever doubt yours and Turtles commitment to Saints. You had your reasons so that should be fair enough for anyone! We all pay our money and make our choices.
dune Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes thanks, and I couldn't give a toss what anyone thinks of my boycott, or my subsequent return. Roll on tomorrow. That's the spirit.
Sarnia Saint Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Just out of interest has any of fans that boycotted because of lowe bought a season ticket this season? On the basis that season ticket sales this year are higher than last one can only nassume the answer to be yes
Verbal Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 The logic of all this escapes me somewhat. If the only reason someone didn't buy a season ticket last year because they boycotted the club under Lowe, why on earth would they continue to boycott it now?
Charlie Wayman Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 We've done this to death already. Try seraching other posts before starting up new ones
saints triumph Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes thanks, and I couldn't give a toss what anyone thinks of my boycott, or my subsequent return. Roll on tomorrow. That includes me, well said
Saint Richard of Woolston Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes thanks, and I couldn't give a toss what anyone thinks of my boycott, or my subsequent return. Roll on tomorrow. And I think that you'll find most people couldn't give a toss about the likes of us returning or not. It is a non-issue. Everybody had their own reason to buy a s/t or not last year and that goes for this year too. I had a year without a ticket last year and have one again this year. Not as a protest against Lowe, Wilde, Crouch or anybody else - simply, I did not get one. Still went to all of the home games when I was in the country though. Happily re-ensconsed in the Centre Kingsland, I look forward to an enjoyable season and a good atmosphere in the ground once again.
Arizona Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Haven't bought an ST, but flew down from Scottland to watch tomorrow's match. Wouldn't have done that under Lowe.
brmbrm Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes here times two. Better in Div 3 and -10 points than this time last year. Looking forwad to it as well.
Rogerfryisalegend Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Just out of interest has any of fans that boycotted because of lowe bought a season ticket this season?Yes, I have 2, my dad has purchased 2 and one of my mates has one, all of us stayed away for many of the games last season.
St. Jason Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yep, three of us and your point is?? Beat me to it Jake, I was about to say ' yes, 1576, Bognor and sean have' and i've bought 2!
dune Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 I boycotted all last season. Admitedly i've not bought a season ticket but i've ordered 2 tickets for Brentford and that'll be first of many home games. If Rupert Lowe had still been in situ i would not have bothered.
Saints4Prem Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes I bought 3 when they first come out and RL was gone, just got another for my 81 yr old father who is coming back after a few years away. Thought I'd pay him back for taking me to my first game at 4 years old and making me a lifelong supporter ! Looking forward to a good season with a good set up, onwards and upwards COYR !
Wes Tender Posted 7 August, 2009 Posted 7 August, 2009 Yes x 2. Bought match tickets for every home game but four last season and therefore missed the three in a row winning streak. Boycotted the STs the year we went down and the year Lowe returned, but renewed when Lowe went first time and again now that he's gone again. Had he remained this season, I would have boycotted every match until he went, but returning with STs proves that it isn't about the division we're in.
Red&White Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 Yes couldn`t stand woopert, looking forward to the season. COYR
saintroyt Posted 8 August, 2009 Posted 8 August, 2009 yes and looking forward to today wouldn,t go we lowe came back AGAIN and very happy to give the club my money and not a greedy board like other's I don't care what people think I was entittled to protest with my feet
