Red&White Posted 5 August, 2009 Share Posted 5 August, 2009 Which pub/pubs do you consider to be the best to visit pre match ?

saints_is_the_south Posted 5 August, 2009 Share Posted 5 August, 2009 Used Bar Risa last year as they did Carling for £1.90 a pint, also it was never busy so could always get a seat...etc They've changed it in there now tho, gone up to about £3 a pint so trying to find somewhere that does cheaper beer. Tried Yates out for Ajax as we wanted to watch the cricket and the lager has improved a lot since i was in there last (about a year prior to Ajax). Always use the King Alfred as a pit stop too just before the game, but always too heaving & warm & you have to drink from a plastic glass if you want to stand outside (which is always the case as its too rammed to stand inside) so the beer is crap. saint_stevo Posted 5 August, 2009 Share Posted 5 August, 2009 Carling tastes like ass. Go to the Plume of feathers in St Marys for home games. A real friendly bunch.....

saint_bert Posted 6 August, 2009 Share Posted 6 August, 2009 Depends what you want really. If you want just cheap booze go to a weatherspoons but for good atmosphere you gotta go to the Alfred or Eagle style boozers
Marky-G Posted 6 August, 2009 Share Posted 6 August, 2009 definitely the plume for me,hope the new landlord keeps the free curry going,if its cheap beer try the walkabout & buy a boomerang card for £3 and get 25% off all food and drink all day & night, probably not a good idea for the millwall game as they don't open till 12 o'clock
