Just seen this on one of their forums

We have been given this pub by Millwall's police liaison officer

Pub for Southampton Away

Millwall supporters have been allocated the Old Fat Cat Pub (166, Above Bar St, Southampton, Hampshire, SO14 7DU) for pre-match drinks. The pub will open from around 10am.

The OFC must be brave!

Wonder if police will stop home fans going in Yates due to them being so close, likewise the square?

We're starting at the giddy bridge in London Rd for a fry up so will have an interesting walk past the OFC down into town after we've finished there!

I say move to the Alfred or stay up the top end of town!

If Yates are letting home fans in then we can still go there, need somewhere to sit down & watch the cricket![/QUOT

Oh yeah, get on the blower. Im sure you have their number on speed dial!

OK thats the shirters and scarfers' pub sorted then. Now what about the real loons, they'll be in Yates', the Eagle and every other pub in town, in their little groups of 4's.

Are Milwall genuinely likely to bring a mob?

Honest question - Im not sure where the truth lies in all the hype and reputation.

Leeds are the worst behaved I've ever seen visit SMS.

Big day on Saturday for the london bruisers!!

they won't probably bring a "mob" just a few younger lads trying to live up to millwall's past reputation

The pubs around Basingstoke could get lairy - Rangers & Millwall!

Pompey v Rangers same day!

What has Basingstoke got to do with anything?

 Whats basingstoke got to do with it?

It does appear an odd decision as they could be marched to SMS and then just drink in there then marched back. Hope the police wont be as stupid and let any without tickets into the Itchen for free as they did in the FA Cup game.

Perhaps Millwall are classified as a safe family club now!

I have a family of Millwall stopping at mine tomorow. I will however insist on travelling to and from the stadium seperately from them. I know what they are like and what they are capable of when riled. I once had to tell the Dad to be quiet at a New Years Eve party as he was singing racist Millwall songs, he took exception and crushed a beer can with his bare hand. Of course I apologised and fetched him a cold beer beer to replace the one that he had crushed.

Walking back to the garden from the fridge I shook the ****er up more than I have ever shaken anything in my whole long life. What happened next I will not share with you, suffice to say, we did not kiss when the clock struck midnight.

We now have an 'understanding'.

I seem tot remember that he died in a car smash ironically on his way to the Dell years ago

I remember that incident in the mid-late 70's.I think the supporters killed all lived in Basingstoke.

(Which might go full circle in reference to the above questions about what has Basingstoke got to do with it.)

All the lads killed then were from Basingstoke area and used to hang out in the Buckskin Pub...I worked with 3 of them, I went to a couple of games with them too .. took on the Holt End one evening, total nutters....to be honest ..as an 18yr old I only went with them coz I had a car and they told me I was going....you didn't argue ?

Don't forget the day of the crash they had already been in Basingstoke town centre pubs knocking the ****e out of the local Chelsea fans.

I'll never forget them ...they were some real tough blokes.

The rumour doing the pubs in town after the match is that a Saints fan was stabbed by some clown from Millwall in Yates' before the match...according to the landlord at 'The duke of Wellington'

I spoke to a member of staff in the Old Fat Cat last week and apart from midweek cup games, the OFC will be the designated away pub all season.

I suggest they open their doors then

Couldnt find a pub after the game, went to Wetherspoons at the bottom of town for 1, then thought we would head back to the station and stop off on the way but every pub from Yates to the station was closed!
