NickG Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Just thinking that the lack of public update on Murty and now the CB made me wonder (nothing I have heard) whether the club want a big press conference a day or two before Millwall game to announce 3 or 4 signings to make a big impact. Just a thought.
Amesbury Saint Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 would not a series of good news stories over several days be better to push up ST and ticket sales.
Mr Saints Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Murty and Jaidi will do for me. Will certainly add a bit of experience and bottle at the back for the Millwall game.
dubai_phil Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Yep, Murty, Jaidi, Beckham on loan for the season and Emile Heskey all signed today so we can push the ST sales up to 12,000 You heard it here last

Just a thought. I had the same thought......but wonder if it's wishful thinking. Would be a great boost!

Amesbury Saint Posted 5 August, 2009 Posted 5 August, 2009 one signing so far http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1743460,00.html
Saint Fan CaM Posted 5 August, 2009 Posted 5 August, 2009 Oh well, never mind. It must have been a real problem signing a 34 yr old player. Can't expect to see a 33 yr old signed also. LOL.
saintstr1 Posted 5 August, 2009 Posted 5 August, 2009 I dont think press conferences are called for when a Division one team signs players on free transfers , I dont think some of our supporters realize we are no longer in the Prem...Time to get real guys and be thankful for what we have.

Just a thought. Personally I would only have a press conference to announce multiple signings if we make multiple signings !!

saintstr1 Posted 5 August, 2009 Posted 5 August, 2009 so the likes of the Echo and Meridian just get a quick call then? No they would probably get it from the OS these days

Just a thought. Doesnt appear to be much "jazz" in league 1, things tend to get done quietly and without much coverage. dont think we will see any 'big press conference' but agree it would be nice and the impact/excitement that it would generate could only help saturdays gate and ST sales.
