Hatch Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Not been for ages ( 25 yrs or so ) Is it still a good day out for families? And is it worth the admission fee.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Not been for ages ( 25 yrs or so ) Is it still a good day out for families? Yes. And is it worth the admission fee. Don't know. HTH.
Dimond Geezer Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Not been for ages ( 25 yrs or so ) Is it still a good day out for families? Yes And is it worth the admission fee. yes Went last year. Your ticket is valid 'till the end of the season, so if there are attractions you can't visit you can go back later in the year to finish them off.
Ponty Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Went last year. Your ticket is valid 'till the end of the season, so if there are attractions you can't visit you can go back later in the year to finish them off. That's a brilliantly simple idea. Why don't places like Alton Towers do that?
Block 18 Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 That's a brilliantly simple idea. Why don't places like Alton Towers do that? Simple answer to that, Money
JustMike Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 i went 2 years ago and my kids loved it. The pass they do is value for money also, especially if you dont get to do everything in the same day.
Marsdinho Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 I dont think you can drive into the monkey enclosure (the main reason for going) due to an "incident". UPDATE: Actually, one of the monkeys has herpes..... http://www.longleat.co.uk/monkey-jungle-closed.html
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 The monkeys have some sort of illness i think, so they are quarantined. I believe anyways. But yeah, very good day out and defo worth it. http://www.longleat.co.uk/monkey-jungle-closed.html There ya go, simion herpes, dirty little bastards
Marsdinho Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 "Longleat is working with all relevant professional authorities to try and establish how the positive reading has occurred in a closed negative colony." Slut Monkeys
Pancake Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 "Longleat is working with all relevant professional authorities to try and establish how the positive reading has occurred in a closed negative colony." Slut Monkeys Im guessing Wiltshire Saint got out of the his car...
Hatch Posted 4 August, 2009 Author Posted 4 August, 2009 There ya go, simion herpes, dirty little bastards Didn't Harry Redknapp try and sign him for Spurs.
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Didn't Harry Redknapp try and sign him for Spurs. It wouldn't surprise me, it's easier to list players he didn't try and sign.
bungle Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Not worth going without the monkeys, IMO. Take the kids to Monkey World instead.
Jesus Reigned Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 I'm going with the wife and kids in a couple of weeks; we last went about 3 years ago and the kids loved it then; shame about the monkeys though..... We're using Tesco Clubcard vouchers as you can quadruple the value at places such as Longleat, Legoland, etc, which makes it a cheap day out.

Kev Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Are these tickets valid until the end of the season limited to the family that bought them? Or could they be 'borrowed' by Hatch and family, then returned to rightful owner, f'rinstance. Just a thought.
Dicko Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 I went in 1977 as a kid with my folks We had an old Vauxhall Viva, the monkeys caused so much damage to it, the insurance company wrote it off
Give it to Ron Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Are these tickets valid until the end of the season limited to the family that bought them? No you can 'lend'...you can normally find a few on Ebay for the House, Gardens etc....where people didnt go in them.
dubai_phil Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Haven't been for years. Last trip was for a Doctor Who convention... Was standing in line for one exhibit when this thump and a hand clasped my shoulder from behind, I turned round all aggressive to find A Cyberman. Jeez I know I was there with the (ex) wife and kids but my first thought was how do I get the stain outta my pants, followed by the site of the family laughing their heads off, apparently he'd given them an electronic wink to get them quietly out the way.. Never been back, still haunts me to this day. Having seen Panorama last week maybe I can still sue for PTSD... Meanwhile have been past twice on way to Glasto. They got one of those CentreParcs or something now?
chocco boxo Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Last we went we saw a man feeding the monkeys £20 notes! When asked why he was doing it , he said read the sign? It read :Please do not feed the Monkeys any food ie banana's, nuts or bread! £20 FINE.
