NickG Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Millwall have taken allocation of 3,200. We have 11,ooo season ticket holders now. For lunchtime sky game sounds like will be decent crowd
RedAndWhite91 Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Wouldn't miss it for the world, even turned down seeing a girl for this game! Hopefully we will get a good crowd, and a good result. Can't wait.
Giamlarrahan Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Wouldn't miss it for the world, even turned down seeing a girl for this game! Hopefully we will get a good crowd, and a good result. Can't wait. Take her with you, she'd love it
RedAndWhite91 Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Take her with you, she'd love it Can't, my mate who I got a season ticket with also wouldn't miss it, so if I did take her, she'd have to sit elsewhere! Don't matter though, she is coming down the week after, on a non-Saints day
Bailey Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 15K have been sold already, with sales expected to improve during the next week in the build-up to the game. If we can get near 20K then that would be a decent start to life in League One. Hopefully we'll get the 3 points to go with it too!

Don't matter though, she is coming down the week after, on a non-Saints day Would you like me to look after her mate? She could fetch me beer and I could explain the offside rule to her. Just like Dog's gundog (http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=15494), I could keep her for 12 months and bring her back fully trained in all the required disciplines. Up to you mate?

After much deliberation I am going to have to politely pass up your offer, as she already knows the offside rule Thanks anyway!!!

Iowsaintsfan Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Going with 3 mates 2 of which have never been to St Marys before and 1 has never been to a game before!
saints_is_the_south Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Be great to break the 20k mark. With another 4 days & walk up on Sat morn i reckon we could get there especially if Millwall sell the majority of their allocation.
Brussels Saint Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Coming over from Belgium with my girlfriend (who is coming from Warsaw)........last time I brought her was the PNE game last year when Saga got 2.......its a Polish thing....she inspires him!
Stepgar Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 My anticipation is as it is the first game of the season we could well be looking at a gate of 20k plus. So I am going for 23000. The only thing that would potentially ruin that is the fact that it is on sky! Come you reds.
Alain Perrin Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 New manager so more than normal. Summer holidays so less than normal. 1st 'proper' game of new regime so more than normal. Just been relegated less than normal. Probable new signings so more than normal. Global recession less than normal. Millwall one of the better followed teams in the division so more than normal. Millwall have a tabloid reputation so less than normal. Therefore 18,472
RedAndWhite91 Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Millwall are bringing AT LEAST 1,400. http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~1742450,00.html

SFC Forever Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 after much deliberation i am going to have to politely pass up your offer, as she already knows the offside rule thanks anyway!!! all women soon learn when to blow the whistle on a male sorty. They also call you offside.
matthieu Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Does anyone know if Markus Liebherr will be at the game?
red&white56 Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 15,000 tickets sold this morning - my prediction 18,000
krissyboy31 Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 15,000 tickets sold this morning - my prediction 18,000 15,000 was yesterday morning, not including the away allocation. Millwall have taken the full 3200 and sold 1400 so far. Should beat 21,000.
Charlie Wayman Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 It's all a bit confusing as I bought extra tickets for Saturday in prime positions in Itchen yet ST's are still selling like hot cakes. What happens if somebody wants to buy ST's for the seats I've already booked for Millwall?

SaintPaddy Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Just had a call from the club saying back 4 rows of Itchen Block 4 being closed due to crowd behaviour. Having already been moved from Block 3 think they are taking the ****. So it's row EE for me on Saturday now.

david in sweden Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Can't, my mate who I got a season ticket with also wouldn't miss it, so if I did take her, she'd have to sit elsewhere! Don't matter though, she is coming down the week after, on a non-Saints day If he's THAT good a mate, buy ANOTHER ticket and get your mate to take that seat.... and then she can sit beside you in his seat.! One game sitting next to you will decide (both of you) if she's a real fan and if you'd get along together - with Saints in your lives. Tell your mate he can be best man... if she's MISS RIGHT ! (only an idea - I'm an old romantic and 25 years married).

This better not be true as that will be all the atmosphere gone from there as well then.
Langleysaint Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Also heard this from a steward last night , all about people not seating down??

(only an idea - I'm an old romantic and 25 years married). I doubt he would do that to be honest, he has turned down a weekend partying in Newquay for this game, so no chance! I'm seeing her the following week anyway, and I might see if she wants to go to Swindon away so your idea might come into action!
northam soul Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 So are they going to close thw Northam as well then. If this is true then it is well out of order.
Bensfcno1 Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Wouldn't miss it for the world, even turned down seeing a girl for this game! Hopefully we will get a good crowd, and a good result. Can't wait. Taking my girlfriend to her first Saints game, it was come with me or I would go on my own anyway! For her sake we better win, or it will be her fault!

Jimmy_D Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 maybe set up a sticky for guessing exact attendances this season? Award points for the closest three or something?
Whitey Grandad Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Also heard this from a steward last night , all about people not seating down?? There are plenty of grounds in this league where standing is allowed, in fact it's compulsory.
sandwichsaint Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 So are they going to close thw Northam as well then. If this is true then it is well out of order. Of course they are! I heard from a steward they were going to turn all the seats in the Kingsland to face away from the pitch (he's a very reliable source and he's been right before)
Langleysaint Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Back four rows will be closed in the Northam on Saturday on Police advice, strange but true.
