Saint Fan CaM Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 I laughed somewhat to see Norwich are not deemed worthy enough of a bye! LOL O:

PaulSaint Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 "I really have mixed emulsions about playing in the JPT. " You shouldnt gloss over your feelings for this trophy, what emotions exactly?
ericofarabia Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 courtesy of a bye... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1741757,00.html We're on our way to Wembley we shall not be moved X 2 Just like a team that's gonna win \the \jpt We shall not be moved. ottery st mary Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Not to gloss over this cup and although Wembley could be very colourful day out...We should concentrate on the league and have a really good finish to a sticky year.
skintsaint Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Be brilliant to get to Wembley and win this no mark cup
Whitey Grandad Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 That's really annoying. I was soooo looking forward to this tournament and now I shall be way for the game on October 7th. Boo hoo.

Whitey Grandad Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 What was the competition in which we reached Wembley in about 1995? Lost to Forest if I'm not mistaken. Zenith Data Systems. I have never been so cold and it took me 3 hours to get out of the car park.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 See...........won a game already, all you doubters;);) I think you're obsessed with the doubters - get over it dude!
chrisobee Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Zenith Data Systems. I have never been so cold and it took me 3 hours to get out of the car park. Thanks, yes I found it on Youtube as above.

once_bitterne Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 The Trophy is a cup comp for the lower two leagues, the ZDS was for the top two leagues when we were banned from Eurp.
Whitey Grandad Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 It was longer ago than we thought: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Members_Cup#1992:_Nottingham_Forest_3_Southampton_2
SaintRichmond Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 "I really have mixed emulsions about playing in the JPT. " You shouldnt gloss over your feelings for this trophy, what emotions exactly? As long as we get decent Cover for some positions:D
SaintRichmond Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Not to gloss over this cup and although Wembley could be very colourful day out...We should concentrate on the league and have a really good finish to a sticky year. I second that Emulsion ............
Rut Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Hundreds hopefully, make mine a double....! Good answer :-)
Saint Samuel Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Its a potential trip to Wembley, hopefully we can beat most of the teams in the Southern section if we put out a strong team. So how do they decide who gets a bye?
eurosaint Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 This is great news, I'm going out to paint the town red !!!!
st alex Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 I laughed somewhat to see Norwich are not deemed worthy enough of a bye! LOL O: i thought that, how do they decide who gets a bye?
The9 Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 i thought that, how do they decide who gets a bye? It's a random draw.
Doctoroncall Posted 3 August, 2009 Author Posted 3 August, 2009 We'll have to wait for October for the next round... ROUND 2: w/c 5th October 2009 AREA QUARTER-FINALS: w/c 9th November 2009 AREA SEMI-FINALS: w/c 14th December 2009 AREA FINALS (LEG 1): w/c 18th January 2010 AREA-FINALS (LEG 2): w/c 15th February 2010 FINAL: Sunday 28th March 2010 (Wembley Stadium)
spyinthesky Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Surely someone has their geography wrong Bournemouth in the South West group whereas Exeter (further west) are in the southern draw!!
Johnny Bognor Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 (edited) The JPT would look good amoungst the Crown jewels. Having said that, some of the pitches we play on may look like they have been plagued by a Farrow & the Ball may not move about easily. If we go out early, AP will be treading on Eggshells JPT eh? It's a long way from the Primership Edited 3 August, 2009 by Johnny Bognor
Dalek2003 Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 This is great news, I'm going out to paint the town red !!!! Thats the (w)right spirirt !
Draino76 Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Some of you lot are painting a bad picture of this competition, but if we were to win it, we would look back on the experience with rose painted glasses.
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 A good run in the JPT will bring out a lot of unfamiliar emmulsions
chrisobee Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 As soon as I saw this thread I knew I'd dye laughing !
miserableoldgit Posted 3 August, 2009 Posted 3 August, 2009 Zenith Data Systems. I have never been so cold and it took me 3 hours to get out of the car park. Yes it must be the only time that a team got to a Wembley final and the fans booed their manager (Br**foot)
hamster Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 I am bristling with enthusiasmfor this. And I reckon that all the stay away's should repaint their sins and get behind the JPT.
Torrent Of Abuse Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 That first round tie was as boring as watching paint dry!!! Il get me coat............ Wait a couple of hours and then you can get another coat.
Torrent Of Abuse Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 AP better brush up on his knowledge of the opposition. Maybe someone can provide him with some kind of primer.
thorpie the sinner Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Does the JPT involve a lovely trip to wembley?
chrisobee Posted 4 August, 2009 Posted 4 August, 2009 Does the JPT involve a lovely trip to wembley? Indeed it does
