Block 18 Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 We have just returned from an extended weekend at Alton Towers, it was the first time we have ever been, had a great time, however the whole experience was soured by one thing. ****sucking smokers who cant just use the designated cancer giving areas but have to polute all the walkways and ques with their filthy stinking smoke. They seem to think that the no smoking rule does not apply to them, only problem I saw was they were not challenged by the staff. I did have a word with a few and they did apologise but the vast majority were just to arrogant/igonarant to understand that they were doing wrong. Rant over
Ponty Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 What you on about Willis? Are we talking about people who smoke in the open air or under cover in one of those ridiculous queues?
Colinjb Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 People smoking in the queues for the rides I guess, and yes, when you are up close like that the last thing you want is to breathe in some addict's leftovers.
Ponty Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 Not very nice in a queue in the open air perhaps, but nothing to really get sand in your vagina about I'd say. I can't imagine the 1 part per billion of ciggie smoke is more harmful than eating the food there. Fricking disgusting under cover when passing through one of those fibre-glass tunnels they seem to like there though. That said, if there are people smoking in non-designated areas, they deserve all the righteous piety you can muster.
Block 18 Posted 3 August, 2009 Author Share Posted 3 August, 2009 I was on about both, there are numerous designated smoking areas around the poark for them to inhale their poison, but do they stick to them? Not a chance. Having been to the Disney parks in Florida where there are fewer designated areas you just dont get people disobeying the rules, must be a Brit thing. norwaysaint Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 I recently went to a park meant for younger kids and couldn't believe the amount of people who just couldn't put their cigarettes away just for the few hours they were there. They are pathetic ****ing drug addicts, who clearly find their ****ty drugs more important than their kids.

Whinging little turd. Right then W@nker, firstly they have a rule at these parks it is NO (that is NO, just in case your too thick to get it the first time like the rest of the smoking brigade) Smoking in the park EXCEPT at designated areas. So its not a stay indoors to avoid you and your kinds pollution, its a park rule that is being flaunted by the I couldn't give a toss about the rest of you as long as I get my Nicotine fix where and when I want it chav's. Block 18 Posted 3 August, 2009 Author Share Posted 3 August, 2009 I think that most of you are missing my point. It's not the smoking that got on my t1ts last weekend, it the arrogance of the average smoker, who when given a no smoking area and an area that they can have a fag they choose to imply their own rules and smoke where the **** they like under the guise of Oh its OK I'm outside. Never mind the fact that their own and others kids are having to inhale their waste product. As I said in my original post, they have the same rules in the parks in the States and you just dont see anything like the same level on non compliance, despite the Yanks not suppling anything like the same level of smoking areas. By the way Denzil, im as much fun as the next guy in the pub, but you have to buy the beer
