If we really want to strengthen the squad, we need two right backs, leaving James to play in his favoured position in midfield. The last thing I'd want to see halfway through the season is Thomas at right back due to injuries... Mind you we haven't signed either of them yet so waste of time this....but its Friday.

How many games did Murty play last season exactly?

Wouldn't have him in CM at all TBH. Gillett would be in there, but his partner would have to be a big lad with a decent range of passing. Davis Murty Thomas Perry Mills James Gillett ???? Harding/Holmes Lallana Rasiak or summit like that.
Bailey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Have a feeling it might be the other Ifil that is available on a free, but if Phil is out-of-contract, then I would consider snapping him up as well as Murty. If we did that, then Lloyd James would be available to play in his favoured position in midfield! He could do just as good a job as Wotton does alongside Gillett, if not better.
