Fantastic news, me and the nippers will be going, both of them play and absolutly love it.

Rugby players show a lot more respect for each other (after a game :D) than footballers ever do, the top players always stop and speak to the kids, (I've had the pleasure of meeting Vickery, Robinson, Sakey & Delagio, all have been top blokes & have plenty of time for the kids), and you don't get chavvy parents with bulldog tattoos on their legs, & sovereign rings, screaming at their kids to 'kick the f***er' :smt102and bollocking the ref for getting something wrong.

Great news - the Skates are taking it badly though.

I think they are a tad jealous that we have a stadium and they continue to rot in their derilict slum of a ground.

At least the skates had the foresight to apply to be a candidate for the footy world cup, funding in it for them if england win the race to host it i'd imagine.

The best atmosphere will be created by the Irish or French fans. Most likely it will be a minor nation (Uruguay; Tonga; Romania etc) vs one of France, Ireland or Scotland. England and Wales will be playing their pool games at their respective National Stadiums and the Big Southern Hemisphere teams will be playing at Wembley, Old Trafford or Emirates.

Whoever plays it will be good to see St Mary's properly full because one of the many great things about Rugby UNION is that the Fans are not segregated. It will be interesting how the game is policed and stewarded, I have been to football grounds in the past to watch rugby and the level of security is often to great. The stewards who are jobsworths when you are watching football...making you sit down, even during moments of excitment, or just generally being a pain in the backside...seem to become Little Hitlers and can't cope with the fact that two sets of supporters aren't trying to kill each other!

As I have said before this is a fanstastic opportunity for Saints to show the club off to the world and hopefully get greater exposure to potential investment. I just wish the Saints had bid for FIFA World Cup Host city status. At least we have an ACTUAL ground, not a drawing of a toilet bowl in the Solent!

COYR! Only 10 days till the new Dawn of SFC!!!
