Pat from Poole Posted 27 July, 2009 Share Posted 27 July, 2009 check out the trouser lovers. Went to the Pompey v Eastleigh game. Westwood really is a c*nt. Surely he wasn't doing his clang-a-lang thing with his bell and accompanied by his little ghey mates who are bare-chested apart from sets of braces? At a pre-season friendly FFS. The man is a waste of good food.

SuperMikey Posted 27 July, 2009 Share Posted 27 July, 2009 Just back from the game myself, bit of a bore tbh, but worth going to gauge some of the squad we have in reserve. Very young squad, played a 4-4-2 with Thomson and Gobern on the wings who looked good. Our defending was awful though, Saville had a bit of trouble with ex-Yeovil striker Kezie Ibe but Lancashire looked surprisingly solid at the back. Molyneux is rubbish at free kicks, as is Schneiderlin. Tafazoli gave away a sloppy penalty for holding back a player, then some more poor defending gave Farnborough a great chance which they took. Thomson's goal was brilliant though, very Beckham-esque. Keeper on the edge of his area marshalling the defence, Thomson picks up the ball just in front of the half way line and lobs him with precision. Worth the £5 I paid just for that! (Trousers, you got ripped off paying £7!) Bialkowski 6 - Looked solid, defence didn't pay any notice to him though. Argent 5 - Shocking challenge in 2nd half, lucky not to get sent off. Molyneux 5 - Bad marking gave the F'boro wingers some good chances, poor free kicks Lancashire © 6 - Not bad, seems to have improved on last season. Not very vocal for a captain though. Saville 4 - Pretty poor, strikers gave him a lot of trouble. Pulis 5 - Not very involved in the game, made a couple of passes (mostly sloppy and intercepted ones though) Schneiderlin 7 - Looked a lot better than last season, made a great sliding tackle and some good diagonal passing. Thomson 7 (MMotM) - Under-used on the wing but looked good when he had the ball. Decent crosses and quite pacy, although he didn't get much support. Gobern 6 - Bit quiet, came inside a lot and seemed to be a lot more comfortable in the middle of the park. Saganowski 6 - Quiet, marked closely all game, aerial service didn't compliment him and he didn't chase the ball as much as he should've done. White 5 - Bullied by the defenders, too lightweight, this could prove a problem if he wants to be playing for us in L1 with some of the brutes in the league. Subs: Tafazoli - Rubbish Keegan - Rubbish Boyle - Rubbish Scott - Rubbish McNish - Looked quite good.

St Chalet Posted 27 July, 2009 Share Posted 27 July, 2009 Thanks Trousers for the updates, I was at the game along with 681 other people and have to say I was impressed with the Farnboro set-up and team. I think they will do very well this season. Anyway, my impressions of our team - many of whom I have not seen before. Bart - Solid enough, one incident in 1st half he remained rooted to his line instead of coming to clear which he was lucky to get away with. Argent - Did ok but didn't do much attacking, horrendus challenge was a pre-season yellow, but would have been a league red Molyneux - Stands off to far, offers nothing in attack Lancashire - Slow Saville - Slower Pulis - Didn't do too much wrong, just didn't do anything particulary right Thompson - Only woke up after the goal, looks bright and industrious, brilliant vision and execution for his goal think Beckham vs Wimbledon. Morgan - Looked comfortable on the ball, good distribution and always thinking Gobern - Strong and pacey, can we turn him into a centre forward, can't help thinking he would have posed mor of a threat down the middle. Saga - Usually praised for his work rate but wasn't at the races tonight. Looked classy on the ball and one wicked shot that was just wide but I think the fat lady is gargling in preperation. White - One good header that looked a harsh offside, missed a sitter, worked hard. All in all the team just did not play. Fboro where the better side and certainly attacked harder. They had two players 9 and 19 who destroyed our centre backs and showed what a bit of pace can do. The penalty was harsh, to be fair our man had been tring to haul the striker down for the past 20 yards and the striker displayed Bear Grylls tenacity to make it half way into the box. The second goal our defence switched off, quick free kick, a pass, a cross and a goal. Agreed we played a reserve side tonight and added to Saturday's result I think it is fair to say we have a team to challenge for the league but not a squad. Lazlo78 Posted 27 July, 2009 Share Posted 27 July, 2009 Hi guys, here is a rundown of our live updates from the game if you're interested: http://www.farnboroughfc.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=286:boro-v-saints-live-text&catid=1:latest&Itemid=196 We will have video highlights on our video service 'FFC TV' tomorrow. It's a free trial at the moment so anyone can sign up. I click the link and read: The big name that sticks out in the Saints side is Saganowski. The Polish hitman has 30 international caps to his name and also played against Manchester United last year in the Champions League while on loan at Swedish side Aalborg. Please tell me that you didn't really write that. I just made up this quote, right?

Weren't some of the Royal female children at Bedales at one time? That's quite close by. Also another claim to infamy for that bookshop was that I believe Erica Roe used to work there. Anybody remember her big hooters? First streaker ever at Twickers.
