How much would it cost to rent a TV whilst you save up some more cash ?

You are living in the past, old chap. No-one rents TVs anymore, at least not in England.

Any of the big stores on the high street (Currys for example) always have offers on at some point, and in some of them you can even price match if you find the same television cheaper on the internet.

I personally would recommend LCD over plasma, but tbh it probably doesnt make a great deal of difference. I've been looking over the last couple of days and a couple tht caught my eye were:

would def recommend Sony Bravias, my parents have got one any I also used to sell them, they're easy to use, good quality and reliable. They are a bit more expensive than the samsung equivalent though, for what is esentially (and i think they might even come from the same factory) the same screen. Although the sound quality is much better on Sonys IMO, and the 'Bravia Engine' that they have within them supposedly enhances colour and sharpness etc, but I think it's pretty hard to tell the difference with the naked eye.

All just my opinions really and others may tell you different but hope that helps a bit!

Have a look at Tesco. Some good deals (42inch Samsung plasma for £499 at the Bursledon store) and they are giving away free sky HD boxes to boot.

Would help if you said what size you want.

This 32 inch TV seems pretty good and cheap.
