chrisobee Posted 31 July, 2009 Author Posted 31 July, 2009 Live text just said that Clarke was plumb but not given out, anybody watching think he should have been out? Looked to me with the naked eye as if it was missing leg and off but hitting middle !
stevegrant Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 He's frying. Flintoff drops an easy one in the slips as well...
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Come on lads another wicket before lunch would be nice.
chrisobee Posted 31 July, 2009 Author Posted 31 July, 2009 Yeah, 194/5, got rid of their best remaining batsman in Clarke!
chrisobee Posted 31 July, 2009 Author Posted 31 July, 2009 Manou at 7 on his test debut, could be interesting.
chrisobee Posted 31 July, 2009 Author Posted 31 July, 2009 Live text just said that Clarke was plumb but not given out, anybody watching think he should have been out? Haha, that was more "out" than the one that was given !
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Try and get them out for abut 250 here would be really good.
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Haha, that was more "out" than the one that was given ! Well the umpires probably realised they made a mistake before so gave him out.
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Get in!! Under 250 looking a good prediction at the moment.
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Steady on, who?!?!?!?! My live text hasn't said this yet!
JustMike Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 6 wickets gone down this morning...its been all England
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 johnson lbw anderson Ah yes, just come up for me.
chrisobee Posted 31 July, 2009 Author Posted 31 July, 2009 johnson lbw anderson Was just too high but who cares!
JustMike Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Was just too high but who cares! yep but was straight and wasnt playing a shot, suicidal at this level the umps will give that everytime
chrisobee Posted 31 July, 2009 Author Posted 31 July, 2009 yep but was straight and wasnt playing a shot, suicidal at this level the umps will give that everytime Indeed and Hawkeye is clearly not 100% accurate anyway so that's good enough for me and I'd say the same if it happened to an English batsman
Thedelldays Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 jimmy anderson...wow are we watching the successor to freddie in action right now..?
JustMike Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 thats lunch 203 / 8 very very well done England :-)
chrisobee Posted 31 July, 2009 Author Posted 31 July, 2009 jimmy anderson...wow are we watching the successor to freddie in action right now..? Well his batting is improving as well unlike Broad.
bungle Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Managed to nip down the pub at half 12 and catch the awesome spell by Anderson. Dellday, he is not a successor to Freddie, he is a very different bowler who relies a lot more on swing. His attitude, however, is 1st class as shown by his bowling effort in the WIndies earlier this year. But whereas Freddie really relies on effort, pace and accuracy, Anderson is a much more complete bowler.
Frank's cousin Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Looks to have been swinging all over the place this morning so tricky conditions today. 230 or so for the Aussies might seem a low total, but if their bowlers can get teh smae help from the conditions we could yet get a result in this TEST as I could see them knocking England over for a similar total?
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Just got back from lunch and I am a bit disappointed these two are still in, am I being greedy?
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Why is Broad still bowling, Strauss have some balls and drop him from thia spell and the side.
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Jimmy has fiver, but alot of the plaudits has to go to Onions for this bowling effort.
Thedelldays Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Why is Broad still bowling, Strauss have some balls and drop him from thia spell and the side. surely it has to be broad for harmi
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 surely it has to be broad for harmi Broad for anybody atm, but yeah I agree Harmison is the best bet with his current form.
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Finally 263 all out. Onions finishes with 4 wickets and Anderson has 5.
Smirking_Saint Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 GET IN THERE Just hope for a decent batting performance now
Smirking_Saint Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Well, lets see how Bell gets on then. Why do we stick with Bopara ?
Saintjersey Posted 31 July, 2009 Posted 31 July, 2009 Well, lets see how Bell gets on then. Why do we stick with Bopara ? Agreed. Players like Bell get stick, but Bopara is just as bad IMO. Does well against the lesser nations, but just isn't up for it against the top teams.
