Loyal Saint Posted 25 July, 2009 Posted 25 July, 2009 (edited) Good song the Hearts lads have, listen to it a couple of times and I wouldn't mind the lads running out to this (obviously I've changed the words a little :-). The bit in bold could be sung fairly easily... thoughts? Down on the South coast, a famous old side Everyone knows of their passion and pride So this is the story their history paints There's no other team to compare with the Saints _______________________________________________________________ S-A-I ....... tttdcs Posted 26 July, 2009 Posted 26 July, 2009 Agreed, not sure if it will catch on but worth a go! A bit like the "classic" Kenny wheres your losers, I seem to remember someone handing out sheets with the words for practise. Too many versus
diggers Posted 26 July, 2009 Posted 26 July, 2009 If you watch a couple of the other linked you tubes with Hearts fans, they've got a classic, made me LOL, "shoes off if you hate Hibeees" ! Take a look..
Mao Cap Posted 26 July, 2009 Posted 26 July, 2009 Very good, and if it takes off not many people will know we nicked it
exit2 Posted 26 July, 2009 Posted 26 July, 2009 we tried that a few years back up there when Saints played them pre season. There are a few Hearts fans dwon here that are Saints fans and we tried it in the pub after. Is good when your ****ed lol
krissyboy31 Posted 26 July, 2009 Posted 26 July, 2009 Who the hell in Southern England uses the word 'bide'?
suewhistle Posted 26 July, 2009 Posted 26 July, 2009 Most of that tune, the first part anyway, is from a well known folk tune sometimes known as 'Willikins and his dinah" which has been used for dozens (or more) different sets of words because it's so adaptable (and in many societies well known). Sing the first few bars to anybody who knows even a little traditional music and they'll know the rest. Let me know the words and I'll sing it!
Professor Posted 26 July, 2009 Posted 26 July, 2009 'Fraid the mention of "Skate" tends to imply an obsession with our neighbours or even an inferiority complex, which Saints fans as a whole don't have. It needs that line changed.
