The back 4 all looked solid today.

So long as Thomas doesn't get injured again we will be alright in league one IMO.

Missed todays game but quite liked what I saw again Hearts. Murty seems to need nothing more than a few games allied to a loss of some weight to be a very useful addition.

He ****ed up a header when we were attacking just outside of their box and then raced all the way back trying to get a tackle in, then fell over outside our box with cramp!

 

Played well though.

Agree with this.Thomas is too injury prone,and allied with the occasional suspension after seeing red mist can not be relied upon for the full season.Perry at his age is also a good squad member but should not be considered first choice for 46 games.

Looked okay. A couple of lazy passes gave possession away, but other than that did what a traditional "stopper" is supposed to do. Not sure what his injury was, but hopefully not too bad - the key obviously is keeping him fit. Does look huge though, seemed to be about a foot taller than those around him (although they included Perry and Murty, so no surprise!).

 

How ironic (for him) that he leaves Burnley for a bigger club/greater success, and they end up in the Prem League... still, think he could do a "Daren Moore" type job for us and will do well in this league.

he was really bossing likes lallana around, getting them into position to mark for throw in etc. Looked to be confident and strong character on pitch

Thomas should be good for us in League One, and to be fair, he owes us a decent season. After missing the whole of the last campaign through injury, whilst getting a big wage each week despite all our financial troubles, he really needs to pull his finger out and work hard for the team this term. Having said that, I think he'll do a good job for us over the coming season, but I still think we could do with another defender. Thomas, Perry and Lancashire isn't strong enough in depth or quality IMO.
