and banter with the blue few....if so, how did it go...was that all left behind for a day..?

Was there a cheer when OWTSGMI was played by the band

I noticed during the victory parade around the pitch that there were a couple of Swiss flags over in the Grandstand! Good work.

MODS - Please move this to the lounge.

PS. I'm glad the cricket loving plastics missed a Saints win.

That'll learn 'em.

:D

Ahem! Though the title thread was misleading to a degree the question posed was:

"Great day for all Saints fans at Lords!

So where would you have rather been? At Lords or at St Mary's today! "

So clearly Saints AND Hants related so it's where it belongs !

PS I'm glad I missed a Saints win as well since:

1) It meant I did NOT miss a Hants Cup Final win

2) Of course I'm glad if Saints win whether I'm there or not, d'oh in fact stating the very obvious ;)

PS2 It would not belong in the lounge anyway since we have...

http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=39

Please try to keep up though I'm sure it is hard happy0025.gif

I was countering Stevo's accusation that just because I hate cricket, that I must be narrow-minded, or indeed female. As this is a football forum, let anybody who wishes to discuss cricket go into the lounge, or a cricket forum.

The above refers though for future reference trying to get through the thick skull of that dullard Stevo is an exercise in futility rolleye0012.gif

Each to their own. I've been a massive Saints and Hampshire fan for 30 years but football was always more important to me than the cricket.

Have to say that view has changed as football has changed over the years and can now honestly say it's the other way round.

I've always been equally passionate about both. Used to love the Saturdays where I could watch Hants at the County Ground until about 2.45, stroll to the Dell for the Saints match and then back for the final session at the cricket. Not so easy nowadays !

Remember watching Hants play someone on the monday of Channons testimonial. Jim McCalliog was having a lunchtime beer if I remember.

Anyway we heard around lunchtime that they were already queing outside the Milton entrance for the 7.30 start so it was get a move on out of the cricket and start queing.

Seemed the logical thing to do, well done Hampshire I love the cricket but yes Saints will always come first.
