Mr X Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 I would have raziak in the team over saganowski any day of the week simply because of their comparative strike records, I agree saganowski puts in more effort off the ball when he can be bothered but strikers are judged on scoring. I don't see why we can't keep Stern and Raziak a strikeforce that would surely be good enough at this level. Surely the right package would tempt Raziak to stay? Does Markus not want to take the risk or is the investment money simply not there?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 I think it is more to do with Raziak trying to get back into the Poland squad in a world cup year, rather then money. I don't think anyone will be able to give him anywhere near the amount we are paying him.

Would be great to have the option of rotating the two of them though.

Wes Tender Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 According to the Daily Star, Pardew admits defeat in his efforts to keep Reading and Swansea target Rasiak at St Mary's.
RonManager Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 According to the Daily Star, Pardew admits defeat in his efforts to keep Reading and Swansea target Rasiak at St Mary's. No quote however, and the picture caption says 'may', so hopefully (IMO), not final.
Wes Tender Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 No quote however, and the picture caption says 'may', so hopefully (IMO), not final. As you say, it is quite possibly a rehash of the previous story where Pardew hoped to keep him but admitted that if an offer came in for him he'd have to let him go. Encouraging that I can find no mention of interest in him recently on either the Reading or Swansea news items recently. The Star is totally rubbish as a paper, so I hope the story is gash.
Arizona Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 According to the Daily Star, Pardew admits defeat in his efforts to keep Reading and Swansea target Rasiak at St Mary's. So he's definitely staying then. Brilliant.
