Lol at people calling gerrard loyal

 

Second time this has been questioned, I suppose to a non fan of his club it would seem he has remained with them so suggests loyalty to his club, I do not doubt money has played a significant role in his staying with that employer but in what walk of life does it not ?

It just makes me laugh when people call the likes of Gerrard, Giggs and other players of big teams loyal. When you are earning astronomical sums it isn't loyalty! What difference is another 5k a week if you already earn north of 110k? Where should the likes of Giggs have moved to? He has had it all at Manu. Similarly Gerrard, he could move to someone like Chelsea but all the big clubs are largely similar and have a fairly equal chance of trophies every year. It's not loyalty to stay at ahuge club and it annoys me when people say it is because it devalues true loyalty shown by the likes of MLT.

Steven Gerrard tried his hardest to join Chelsea two summers in a row, he even put in a transfer request at one point after Liverpool rejected a 32m bid. I think in the end Liverpool offered him the 110k p/w he wanted and he stayed.

1) No difference financially, I believe after a certain sum it is about ego

 

2) Newcastle are a big club, right ? City are an example of the wealth needed to compete(top 4) in that league, do you think they'll get the title ? Everton, Villa, big clubs...do they really have an equal chance of trophies, chance by existing but not likely.

 

3) If the 000's mean nothing then it must be about how you feel about that club

Although I don't condone the violence, it appears Mr Gerrard came away from that quite unscathed considering he threw the first punch, and his mates piled in to back him up.

 

From the footage I could see, Gerrard [i won't bother to refer to him as Mister] was in it up to his neck. One rule...
