Kind of agree but strictly speaking it more of a mat game, best board game I have seen recently is the Lowe, Wilde, Crouch game

Colinjb Posted 22 July, 2009 Share Posted 22 July, 2009 I'll echo Risk. Used to have some epic games with my old housemates. Lager + Risk + Competitive Housemates = Outstanding.
Arizona Posted 22 July, 2009 Share Posted 22 July, 2009 Rubbish game, doesn't do what it says on the box. Best 'board' game by a mile - naked Twister with baby oil. I played the Ukrainian version. Came with land mines and a gun.
TopGun Posted 22 July, 2009 Share Posted 22 July, 2009 Diplomacy also was good and similar to Risk. Again late night drunken student stuff. A few backdoor haggling deals between players were done over the future of Europe with the bribe of 50p from Britain to Russia to invade/not invade Germany etc. Good times and probably like the real thing!
