Genk Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Think we will sell out our Swindon allocation? Think there is up to 2000 available if needed
saints_is_the_south Posted 21 July, 2009 Author Posted 21 July, 2009 Think we will sell out our Swindon allocation? Think there is up to 2000 available if needed According to footballgroundguide.co.uk another 2,100 extra seats are available behind the goal so we could take as many as 3k there.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Travel is also available with a 4.30pm departure, priced at £14. This is £2 dearer than anticipated as we have to meet a £20 per coach fee levied at Swindon. ok so £2 x 50 seater coach = £20??!
oldsarum Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Huddersfield: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1728092,00.html Swindon: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1727597,00.html Already got my Swindon ones, won't be doing Huddersfield tho. I think its interesting for those who moaned that our matchday tickets prices of £22 for Wings or behind the goals is too high, that Huddersfield tickets are £24 behind the goal and Swindon £22. So on this evidence our prices are on a par if not lower than our competitors.
JRM Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 I'm surprised at Huddersfield charging £24 rip off, and i'd have thought they would keep prices down to try to increase attendances as they never fill the ground. If wasn't for the fact it is a new ground + booked train tickets i'd give it a miss. Last year Swindon charged away fans £16 for tickets behind the goal so i'm going to look out for that if we can sell out the side bit first might be a bit cheaper. Just hope Charlton don't try and pull a stunt like charging us £30 like they did last season.

Im quite optimistic that we can take a big crowd up there. 1) Its not far away at all, 2) We are all very optimistic about the new regime (most) Sell out I fell for us although Swindon wont fill their ground

I'd expect us to take 2k up there at the very least.
shurlock Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 got both my tickets - cannot wait. like the others, I think Swindon will sell out as well as a few other (relatively) local fixtures. Wonder what the sales policy will be this season - preference to ST holders or individuals with a record of away trips?
70's Mike Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 ok so £2 x 50 seater coach = £20??! that is how you become a millionaire
badgerx16 Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 My first game at the Dell was v Huddersfield, about time I got to see them again Will be going with my sons and the eldest's gf, ( eldest & gf are @ uni there ), not sure if I'll have to sit with them in the home fans though

ericofarabia Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 I shall be attending both as I'm a proper fan. I lost my super fan status along time ago, but will be slumming it at the northern wastes of Huddersfield and Stockport, but missing out on Swindon. Is the Huddersfield ground just the McAlpine stadium renamed, or have they moved again?

skintsaint Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 totally off subject, didnt the McAlpine get built to only last 20 odd years? Or was that some ****e my Dad spouted to me ages ago.
saints_is_the_south Posted 28 July, 2009 Author Posted 28 July, 2009 Just spoken to David Luker re: 2nd allocation for Swindon. He told me that Saints have requested more tickets today as we have now sold over 700 of our initial allocation.
stevegrant Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 totally off subject, didnt the McAlpine get built to only last 20 odd years? Or was that some ****e my Dad spouted to me ages ago. Opened in 1994. It originally only had 3 stands, but they built the 4th stand in 1997.

He told me that Saints have requested more tickets today as we have now sold over 700 of our initial allocation. Did he say if there was a difference in price? My mate who is a Swindon season ticket holder reckons it is £22 in the side stand but only £16 on the stratton bank behind the goal, if that is the case should hopefully help us take big numbers there.
North Wilts Saint Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 I'm hoping (and believe) will be able to purchase tickets for the Stratton Bank on the night. If anyone belives any different please let me know !
Chez Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 I'm hoping (and believe) will be able to purchase tickets for the Stratton Bank on the night. If anyone belives any different please let me know ! depending on the size of the second allocation there is a chance that this will sell out.

David indicated to me last week that he didn't think there would be a difference in price, we sha'll see i guess!
St Mikie Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 I was just checking the Swindon website for away supporters positions in the ground as its years since I have been to the County Ground. Obviously we have the same web designers. The similarity is shocking, I hope we did not pay too much for our revamp!

If so, there goes my chance of going then. Train prices seemed alot when I look on the net..
bungle Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 Did he say if we would be allowed to swap over a seated ticket if we already have one for a terrace ticket?? The away fans behind the goal section at Swindon is seated.
St Mikie Posted 28 July, 2009 Posted 28 July, 2009 Welcome to the "last to notice we've now got a generic website" club. Hey! I don't get out very often...... and I certainly don't spend much time trolling through other clubs websites!
ruddick Posted 29 July, 2009 Posted 29 July, 2009 Thinking of going along to Huddersfield - live in Liverpool! Don't work Saturdays anymore so this would be my first away game in forever - gonna be on my tod though! What ya reckon - should I go or not?

The Saturday Boy Posted 29 July, 2009 Posted 29 July, 2009 The away fans behind the goal section at Swindon is seated. Yep, the County Ground is all seater. The Arkells stand (the side stand) is probably the better stand to get a good atmosphere going anyway as it has low roof and is shared with the home fans.
saints_is_the_south Posted 29 July, 2009 Author Posted 29 July, 2009 Did he say if we would be allowed to swap over a seated ticket if we already have one for a terrace ticket?? Both sections are seated. If you've already got one on the side then you can swap to behind the goal. According to footballgroundguide tho they don't serve beer in the stand behind the goal, only on the side.
