explorer saint Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 No rasiak but stern john in squad maybe thats a sign of things to come
SFC Forever Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 John could be playing for a contract and maybe Pardew is ready to give him one. Contract that is before anybody starts.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Oooooooh, I wonder if everyones favourite ex-saint fan 'BadBoy Saint' will be there...
dubai_phil Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 We are, as me and misses two big squads Bet you don't see much of the second half - you'll be too busy checking the lino gave permission for a sub to come on
Saint Fan CaM Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Never been to Salisbury's ground - do they have a stand with seating or is it more like Eastleighs? Might actually pop up and get a preview of what may happen Saturday. Interesting that Rasiak appears not to be travelling - mind you, nor is Davies. Perhaps this is AP's way of sorting the wheat from the chaff - might see a few released after tonight!? I hope Stern makes the grade though - I think he will and will score tonight to impress the boss (if he gets the service).
LeBenali Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Vaguely interesting to see Salisbury are giving a trial to Ronan Marsh-Brown, the full back we had on trial in the 2nd half of last season. Perhaps can see what we (haven't) missed out on tonight!
The Saturday Boy Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Never been to Salisbury's ground - do they have a stand with seating or is it more like Eastleighs? All you need to know about Salisbury's ground - http://www.conferencegrounds.co.uk/salisbury_city.htm
whizzpop Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 All you need to know about Salisbury's ground - http://www.conferencegrounds.co.uk/salisbury_city.htm It's bigger than Eastleigh's been there a few times, there is roofed terrace standing - or seated grandstand which is slightly bigger than Eastleighs
OldNick Posted 21 July, 2009 Author Posted 21 July, 2009 two big squads Bet you don't see much of the second half - you'll be too busy checking the lino gave permission for a sub to come on well yet another bit of proof that we were done over, the lino does not have the authority to give permission for the sub to go back on it has to be the ref...that's it rematch result null nad void in fact it should be awarded to my valiant team. When the DVD comes out we will get definitive proof although Doctor Granty no doubt is editing it, hence the time it is taking to get it done. It took less time for Terry Waite to be released as it has the Forum match DVD
John B Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 We are, as me and misses Are you taking your mate Mr Fry with you?
OldNick Posted 21 July, 2009 Author Posted 21 July, 2009 Are you taking your mate Mr Fry with you?Yep, his new bentley will look good in the Salisbury car park.
John B Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Yep, his new bentley will look good in the Salisbury car park. Have a good time I will be picking up my daughters from Gatwick

Saintjersey Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 I'm guessing we didn't sign Harding in time to play?
ianthesaint Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Im leaving at 5! If game is ****.....Im going to the bar....

Saint Fan CaM Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Why is Henderson in charge of this game? Yes - that is a real disappointment frankly - I am toying with whether to go or not now. Promised the Wife a dinner out prior to game, so it's probably a done deal now.
the saint in winchester Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 John could be playing for a contract and maybe Pardew is ready to give him one. Contract that is before anybody starts. I see he's in the squad listing on the OS, so that says to me has agreed and signed a new contract. Previously players out of contract weren't being included "due to insurance issues."
kpturner Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Can we have a "Who is going?" thread for every match this season? Maybe we can take turns in starting each one!
Thedelldays Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 What makes it a Saints eleven rather than saints?[/quote not many from the first team i guess
saintj Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Just had a text from a mate at the game, He says saints are 3 - 0 DOWN???!!! Not sure if he is taking the **** or not?!
Window Cleaner Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Just had a text from a mate at the game, He says saints are 3 - 0 DOWN???!!! Not sure if he is taking the **** or not?! Wouldn't be surprised, it's a non-team that we've put out (according to the OS) Poke in goal for a start.
saintj Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 just phoned him, John playing well just can't seem to get anything on target! Pardew is there so at least he will know who to get shot of! Wotton & Perry are playing well. ?? Mathews for salisbury has scored 2 goals. He is also hearing rumours that Marcus bent has been to SMS and Lita is due there in the next few days.

We need to get shot of both Wotton and Perry, over the hill and far away I'm afraid.Won't be any use to use in high paced Lge 1.
NickG Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Perry is decent CB still, thought he looked pretty good on Saturday.
ChrisPY Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 not sure if Marcus Bent Leroy Lita Rasiak Saga John is strong enough forward line for the third division? Saga and Rasiak will be shipped out IMO after watching Pards interview on SaintsTV. Would leave Bent, Lita, John and possibly Lallana (depending on whether Pardew uses him as a midfielder or striker if he stays) battling for 2 spots and Patterson and White as back up.
eurosaint Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 John could be playing for a contract and maybe Pardew is ready to give him one. Contract that is before anybody starts. I'm sure that he rates him, but is this not taking things a bit far ??
Window Cleaner Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Perry is decent CB still, thought he looked pretty good on Saturday. Too small for League 1 in my opinion, looks good but there's a lot of huff and puff that doesn't actually bring much result in his game.Still Pardew will sort it out I'm sure .
NickG Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 we need to strengthen but Perry's size isn't a problem. Good player - him and Thomas could be very good first choice pairing.
saintj Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Wotton scores pen, John fowled. Now 3 -1 Pulis & saga off, Patterson & Molyneux on.
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 just phoned him, John playing well just can't seem to get anything on target! Well, I don't believe that Lita is coming to Saints bearing in mind he has been connected with a number of Premiership and Championship clubs. And I can't see Bent dropping down two divisions, so that pretty much confirms your mate is pulling your leg and Saints are not losing 3-0!! lol
Window Cleaner Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 we need to strengthen but Perry's size isn't a problem. Good player - him and Thomas could be very good first choice pairing. the fact that we're 3-1 down against Salisbury would suggest otherwise. I know Perry has a lot of fans but for me 36 is too old to be playing competitive football, especially in the lower divisions. The 3 or 4 times I've seen him he is always stranded for pace. His position is good but against lumps with a bit of leg speed he's in no-mans land 9 times out of 10.
eurosaint Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 Wotton scores pen, John fowled. Now 3 -1 Pulis & saga off, Patterson & Molyneux on. Did he chicken out of the tackle then ??

He isnt as slow as Lancashire If its between the two of them Perry would be my choice every time.
Window Cleaner Posted 21 July, 2009 Posted 21 July, 2009 He isnt as slow as Lancashire If its between the two of them Perry would be my choice every time. Hopefully it will be neither one nor t'other. Thomas and a new guy or 2 new guys will do for me, Perry first reserve, Lancashire-on loan as far away as possible please, Cowdenbeath Reserves will do nicely thanks.
