Rasiak

I thought Saga seemed to have lost a lot of pace last season. Still put the effort in, but I wouldn't call him quick. Could work well with John or Rasiak, but the latter two couldn't work together. No pace what-so-ever in that partnership.

to be fair...you have valid points..

but we need goals simple as that..he has the potential easily to score 25+ goals a season in this league..as does john and sagga...

great situation to be in really...so many, if not all the other clubs in league 1 would dream of having forward options like that...

Are you maybe underestimating this league just a tad?

If my Gran stood in the penalty box for the entire 90 mins then im sure she could have a goal ratio of 1 in 3.

At times like this the most important thing is to be a team and Rasiak is not a team player. We can't afford to be playing with effectively only 10 men, a decent, hard-working strike partnership would score far more goals than a lazy, greedy Rasiak.

Is that mean your Gran can score at least one goal in three games in the World Cup? I don't realize your Gran is a full international, what a wonderful achivement.

It is down to the fact that even championship clubs are finding it difficult to match the wages of our polish strike force. Provided that we get adequate replacements, we should

get rid of the pair of them. Niether want to be here, and both looked totally disinterested against Ajax on saturday.

rather patronising..

i have understood this league years ago

I certainly didn't intend to be patronising, so apologies for that, but I don't think League 1 is going to be a doddle for any of our strikers, apart from possibly John, if AP signs him. He is big and strong, knows how to hold the ball up and knocks them in early.

Rasiak would be an asset if playing with another striker/targetman, two wingers and an offensive midfielder to give the man service, service and yet more service. He has never created on his own.

Saga looked to have lost much of his pace against Ajax and he has lived off pace and opportunity.

I haven't really got much of an opinion about Matt Paterson, but I don't think he is going to set the division alight this season.

Essentially, though, I don't think this season is going to be at all easy, and we are woefully prepared for it so far.

Rasiak is a box player, stream crosses into it, give him the ball in there and he will score. What he wont do is run around chasing after lost causes and tackling back.

Pretty simple, even when he scored all them goals for us when Burley was here he never chased it around, we whipped crosses in and surprise surpise he scores.

I would love him or John (who is similar) to stay, but both cant play up front together. I do expect Rasiak to go.
