Crab Lungs Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 I am looking for a media production company in the UK who are capable of creating a viral trailer for me? Can anyone help or maybe suggest a company for me? The fact they are based in the UK would be preferable, although worldwide is ok too as we are entirely open to suggestions. Many Thanks
Webby Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 WTF is a viral trailer? Is it like a caravan full of swine flu? Seriously though, what is it?
Nexstar Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Is a viral trailer not a trailer for a film or other kind of production that is designed to be used on computers/mobile phones etc, such as in viral marketing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_marketing
Smirking_Saint Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Basically trailers and a such for things designed to spread the word quickly and are generally used on multi platforms. Used to get a name out. What product 'tis it for ??
Crab Lungs Posted 20 July, 2009 Author Posted 20 July, 2009 It's for website that we are launching internationally, very soon. It's a brand too, also, but first and foremost it's a website. We're just about at the stage where we can start issuing the storyboard to prospective companies and we've made some tentative enquiries to Digital Kitchen, but would like to explore all our options...

Wiltshire Saint Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Have you spoken to StuRomseySaint? This sounds like his area of expertise.
hamster Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Crab, I have an idea for a website which you are welcome to take forwrad and I think it fills a hole in curently overcrowded market. Whenever we take short breaks we like to take in some live music. I like to think that I know how to search the internet fairly well, so am amazed at how hard (nigh on impossible in some towns) to find live up to date listings. We usually end up phioning pubs in the town centre and asking for recomendations for live venues, then calling each one directly. You could combine the listings with links to said pubs which could in turn pay for the link. Add accomodation and restaurants and I reckon there would could be a great income stream from referalls too. Not my area of expertise (web design), but to demonstrate, have a search for live music this coming weekend in Oxford. There are 1 or 2 well pubicised venues, but the smaller ones are either not listed or are out of date. One could be forgiven for thinking they don't want people to know that they exist.
Kadeem Hardison Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 I agree with the person who suggested StuRomseySaint. With his sales background and his extensive training with web design, he's just the man for the job. If you are launching a fast food product, then it's triple win for you.
Amesbury Saint Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 ring these people http://www.vision-news.tv/page_v1.php?page_id=529 01722 770003 run by Justin Potter.
Baj Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 I agree with the person who suggested StuRomseySaint. With his sales background and his extensive training with web design, he's just the man for the job. If you are launching a fast food product, then it's triple win for you. From my conversations with StuRomseySaint, as well as his track record, I wouldn't trust his guidance on viral marketing and/or social media any more than I would trust leon crouch to make good financial decisions. I joke of course, but if you're serious, approach the issue seriously (love you stu) If you are serious about this, mr lungs, PM mr or grab me on facebook. Depending on your budget I can suggest many options, including a local company who produce viral videos for the biggest names in the games industry.
Jimmy_D Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Possibly contact Solent Uni? They do some stuff for Saints anyway...
Crab Lungs Posted 21 July, 2009 Author Posted 21 July, 2009 what happened to big ben lungs? We're well beyond that scale of viral now! Anyway, thanks to everyone who has helped me and given me links and names, really appreciated!
