Baj Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Anyone know how to change the default search engine on Safari from google.com to google.co.uk on XP . Not even easy on Leopard, but at least do-able... cant find anything on google that tells me how...
Webby Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 I'll keep a look out for this Baj, but for now, why not make a bookmark for Google.co.uk and use that rather than the search bar?
Baj Posted 20 July, 2009 Author Posted 20 July, 2009 I am, but its just one more step each time just to search...
Webby Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Well, I use Safari and it's great but then again, I use a mac. Firefox 3 is very good on xp, and you can change the search engines in that. I'm sure you know about Firefox Baj, but I just thought I'd recommend it. Any reason why you wanna stick with Safari? Hope that helps.
Webby Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Actually, I'm using google chrome on the pc at work at the moment and I like it I have to say. There is a google uk option in there too.
Mewsta Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 Baj, I wanted to do this too on the PC. I searched for hours and could find nothing. The only software I could find was Inquisitor for the MAC...... It's looking bleak!
Baj Posted 20 July, 2009 Author Posted 20 July, 2009 It's ****ing stupid that, once again, Apple 'assume' they know best...
Mewsta Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 I know... I really like safari too.... the other problem I have is it prompting for my network credentials everytime I want to use it in the office.... Bloody frustrating!!!
