Jillyanne Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 I purchased one earlier and upon opening said sandwich realised that the lettuce was all brown, can I take it back for a refund?
Dicko Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Have you eaten the rest of it? I bought a jam doughnut once & it had no jam in the middle I didn't take it back, but I felt like it

Sfc90 Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Why the **** would you buy a sandwich from Co-op in the first place?
bridge too far Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 I'd take it back if I were you, Jill. I've always found Co-op sandwiches to be OK (don't buy them that often though TBF) - maybe you got a Friday one :smt102

Jillyanne Posted 18 July, 2009 Author Posted 18 July, 2009 Why the **** would you buy a sandwich from Co-op in the first place? Because I was in there to buy some bananas for my tortoises as it is my local shop and was hungry - simples.
Deppo Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 It's potentially ruined my evening tbh. Hopefully I can get over it.
pilsburydoughboy Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Why not pop to your local co-op and pick up something nice to eat thats got to see you through.
Deppo Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Then I could consult an internet forum over whether or not to return it. I wouldn't be able to make a decision of that magnitude on my own.
pilsburydoughboy Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Never make a choice without consulting the web first.
Jillyanne Posted 18 July, 2009 Author Posted 18 July, 2009 Never make a choice without consulting the web first. Exactly, I have chosen to bin it but may give my cats the ham, although not sure the would enjoy it - what do you think?
Deppo Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 I think you've scared everyone off with your aggression towards me.
bridge too far Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Exactly, I have chosen to bin it but may give my cats the ham, although not sure the would enjoy it - what do you think? What if the manky lettuce has contaminated the ham
Jillyanne Posted 18 July, 2009 Author Posted 18 July, 2009 This has now been over shadowed by one of Jazz's kittens dying tonight at only 3 days old - RIP baby Bengal.
Wiltshire Saint Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Put the kitten in a sandwich and eat that. Should be young and juicy.
Jillyanne Posted 19 July, 2009 Author Posted 19 July, 2009 Put the kitten in a sandwich and eat that. Should be young and juicy. Tosser.
TopGun Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 This has now been over shadowed by one of Jazz's kittens dying tonight at only 3 days old - RIP baby Bengal. Sorry to hear that Jilly. On the sandwich front I have a new Sainsburys and they haven't worked out supply and demand yet. So at 7pm I buy £2.49 sandwiches for 49p. Long may it continue.
sotonjoe Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 I'm hoping this is not supposed to be serious seeing as it's in TMS.
Thedelldays Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 This has now been over shadowed by one of Jazz's kittens dying tonight at only 3 days old - RIP baby Bengal. should not have fed it the ham...
Jillyanne Posted 19 July, 2009 Author Posted 19 July, 2009 I'm hoping this is not supposed to be serious seeing as it's in TMS. You are correct, I binned the sandwich as soon as I saw the minging lettuce. It was just that someone said I should take it back - for a £1.75 refund, hardly likely.
bridge too far Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 Lettuce Pray ! For the brown bread. Wasn't THAT funny the first time IMO
Manuel Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 I ate cat once in Peru and it was surprisingly good, although a little gamey. I now go around collecting any stray (not inside) cats from the neighbourhood, prepare and pass to the missus for cooking. I tell her they're rabbits.
Manuel Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 I bought a jam doughnut once & it had no jam in the middle I didn't take it back, but I felt like it Greasy and empty inside? Me too sometimes.
Wiltshire Saint Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 Boj has got something he can fill you up with.
bungle Posted 19 July, 2009 Posted 19 July, 2009 I make my own ham sandwiches with ham from the butcher, rolls from the bakery and lettuce from the fruit and veg stand in town. No problems.
