Currently on trial at Division 1 side Southampton which will link him up with his previous manager Alan Pardew.

Pardew may be a factor.

Anyone can add that on Wikipedia. Not reliable in any way.

Could be, interesting that it was on there before the rumours on here. You don't think he may come on trial then?

I didn't say it wasn't true. It may well be, but its likely to be just using the Reading connection.

I'm just saying anyone in the world can create a Wikipedia account and write what ever they want on there. Therefore Wikipedia has as much credibility as a rumour on this site unless it is backed up with a secondary source.

"Currently on trial at Arsenal as a replacement for the outgoing Adebayor."

How very clever of whoever that was...

:D:D

The person who made me £100 after telling me of Pardew's interview in London, is the same person who has told me Saints are chasing Lita

We have competition from CCC teams, in particular Derby, but he's expected today where AP & ML will try & convince him of the good times ahead at SMS

yes, i agree. Some credibility but to be taken with a pinch of salt.

as expected. It will be interesting to see whether they can sweet talk him or not. This is exactly the sort of behaviour we should be hoping for; cheekily nabbing players who , by rights, should be playing in a higher division!

If he believes the project we're undertaking here, then i reckon he'll sign.

This isn't just your average leage 1 club remember.....we're only going in one direction now and i'd expect alot of players are interested in playing a part.

If we do get him i reckon he'd score 30+ in this league and auto promotion, even with -10, could be possible.

He thinks hes a good PL player and too good for the CCC, theres no way hed drop to L1. Hes too arrogant.

There have been rumblings of this sort; his prem record is currently poor though so he needs to get real!

Pardew may be a factor.

Pardew would be a very small factor considering he was Lita's manager at Charlton for a grand total of 6 weeks. There's no way Lita will drop down to L1.

This from the poster who supports a team whose stripes are the wrong way round and make their players look fat. (And supporters for that matter - trust me, I know: I live dangerously close to that odd little shed opposite the beeb)

Perhaps Lita might have taken a slight hint after being released by a slowly fading CCC club for the dizzying fee of £0.

Anyway, you may be right - but don't come on here ruining our dreams.

What a signing he'd be. Would be good for him too. If we can keep Rasiak too we'd have a great strike force.

The idea of having Lita, Rasiak, Saga and Lallana available up front should be enough to get people through the gates on its own. Unfortunately I have doubts any of them will be here next season. This is all a bit Karsten Janker if you ask me.

Why some credibility? It has zero credibility.

You have no idea at all who it was written by!

It could have been me trying to wind you up for all you know (it wasn't btw :D)

I totally agree. Rasiak or Stern John partnered with Lita would be awesome in league 1 and if we get promoted to The Championship. The strike force is the most important part of the team and with this kind of line-up I can see us making the play offs this season!

I can fully believe he would come for talks.

Whether he wants to sign or not in light of other ofers he may have remains to be seen. Much may depend on our wage structure - I wonder if we are prepared to pay players good Championship level wages to join us or not? If not, it would be hard to persuade someone like Lita to join, if he does indeed have offers from clubs such as Derby.

A small factor that we hope could be used to our club's advantage.

It'll also be interesting to see the influence Murty would have on him joining (ok, i know he's not signed himself yet...), as he was with Lita for a few years at Reading...so they'll know all about each other.

What can I say ... I try to see the best in people and wikipedia was set up to help the free spread of knowledge, not for people to intentionally mislead. You hope there are more good people than bad. So yeh, some credibility, but with a pinch of salt.

The internet has made its way to Portsmouth apparently ;)

True ... I've just been warned via pm that John Portsmouth FC Westwood posts on here under the name 'Um Pahars' so I'm not about to get bitten there.

You can actually have quite a good idea about who wrote it (and all other entries, including the arsenal/adebayo gag).

That's the beauty of wikipedia, you CAN check the sources (try hitting the 'history' link and then using some basic IP lookup tools).

I think for many of us as soon as we saw Pardew was appointed and thoughts turned to signings, Lita was the first name in our thoughts.

IMO it would be the signing of the season if he were to sign.

Look out for him

He's expected at SMS where AP & ML are trying to complete a deal

Bollix, i'll eat my wife if that happens. This is the usual lets make up rumours about the new managers ex players.

Your wife must be miffed that you'll only do this on the rarest of occasions - poor love. Edited by kpturner
