Toadhall Saint Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 Me too was just curious to know if I'll be able to email some pics from my iPhone. Cheers Same as that - hopefully 3G if not WiFi.
locks heath saint 2 Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 certainly 3g is crap within the stadium and there was no wifi without a lock that i have detected. 3g works about 5% of the time. Really need a club wifi with seasonticket password sent every week. then you could play with the phone and miss the goals lol
TheSaint75 Posted 18 July, 2009 Posted 18 July, 2009 I would have thought so if you are near the press section and had the encryption key. Can't you just email photo's anyway, you can from a Blackberry?
trousers Posted 23 July, 2009 Author Posted 23 July, 2009 I can 'happily' report that there was no 3G/WiFi service available at the stadium. Come on Mr Liebherr, what on Earth have you been doing this last couple of weeks? Sort it out (please)
The9 Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 I've occasionally picked up a Saints-sounding SSID in the Northam, but the signal's never strong enough to use it. Haven't been there since I got my iPhone 3GS though, I was using 2G previously. They may have something there for the photographers with laptops at pitchside, though they could always dongle it I suppose.
SET Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Get on vodafone then, i have a perfect 3g signal at sms:D was using it on my blakberry storm during the relegation battle, to have sky sports news on and keep up with the other games.
swannymere Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 I used to pick up a Wi-Fi signal in the Northam but it was never consistent, there is one at Shamrock Quay, not that that's much use during a match but good pre-match drinkies!
Window Cleaner Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Is there a BT Openzone WiFi signal at St Mary's? Cheers Does it matter? you're there to support the team not surf the net. Computer usage is out of control, a bonfire of laptops is sorely needed. Yours sincerely A Ludite
Gemmel Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Is there a BT Openzone WiFi signal at St Mary's? Cheers no....just ask the lawyer from the FA
lordswoodsaints Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 There is outside my shop in northam road but I can pick up a 3g signal in the stadium ok on my iphone.....just about.
trousers Posted 23 July, 2009 Author Posted 23 July, 2009 no....just ask the lawyer from the FA Thought all along that it might have something to do with fears of people communicating with the outside world. Oh well, satellite technology it is then....
trousers Posted 23 July, 2009 Author Posted 23 July, 2009 Possibly the most boring question I've ever read. Mine is: What factors influenced the growth of the Argentinian oil drilling industry in the late 1970s? Does't get much more boring than that. "Taxi..."
DT Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Mine is: What factors influenced the growth of the Argentinian oil drilling industry in the late 1970s? Does't get much more boring than that. "Taxi..." That is a fair rebuttal, sir, which I applaud. Is the answer Osvaldo Ardiles or Ricky Villa?
