saint_stevo Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Nilsson and Jakobsson were two of the worst players I have ever seen for Saints. Davenport isn't even close to those two bottlers. Davenport was horrific. Nearly as bad as Lancashire..... and IMO Jakobsson was better than Davenport. Nillson was pants. But was a Swedish international somehow...

Crab Lungs Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Thing is, up until Davenport 'meeting' Jakobsson, Davenport was a superb centre half at Coventry and showed a little promise for Spurs. As soon as he met Jakobsson, he want to tosh. Much like everyone else in our defence. Nilsson is still the only footballer I have seen bottle a 90-10 in his favour challenge.
Colinjb Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Jakobsson was ok, but so far short of the player he needed to replace that his signing was rendered futile. Couldn't believe that we had signed the same Callum Davenport who I had seen playing superbly for Coventry.
O_RLY Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 He was immense against Liverpool when him and Crouch played 1/2s all game. That is the only good thing I can remember.

I saw Gasmi do that last season v forest. It was all he did in the 5 minutes he was on.God we've had some dross in recent years.
