notnowcato Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Putting allegiances aside, who would you rather see managing Saints?? Looking at their respective managerial records there can only be one choice. Alan Pardew's Red and White Army!!
chrisobee Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Sorry who is this Hart you are refereeing to :smt102
Scummer Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Sorry who is this Hart you are refereeing to :smt102 Paul Hart, Portsmouth manager.
chocco boxo Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 22 miles might be the distance between them in respect of location but in terms of clubs and their own ablity it is light years.
chrisobee Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Paul Hart, Portsmouth manager. Oh, I thought he was their caretaker
Scummer Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Oh, I thought he was their caretaker Well I think they've got him sweeping the terraces to keep costs down, if that's what you mean.
chrisobee Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Well I think they've got him sweeping the terraces to keep costs down, if that's what you mean. Lol, that's where I saw him !!!
St David Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 I was told the new pompey owner (if it ever happens) is backing Hart and has said he is the best man for the managers job. I love it, they are falling apart at the seams, gone from the Prem by Feb 2010 I think. COYR
CWD Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Pardew every day of the week (although I feel we are somewhat bias)
Rogerfryisalegend Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Hart would make a half decent assistant manager, Pardew should give him a call.
saintmatt Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 i thought hart did a good job for them last year,he managed to arrest the decline after the adams debacle.not easy given all their off-field difficulties etc
Smirking_Saint Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Pardew by a country mile Oi, get your hands of my avatar
Scummer Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 i thought hart did a good job for them last year,he managed to arrest the decline after the adams debacle.not easy given all their off-field difficulties etc That's true, but the Pompey fans don't rate him at all. They weren't keen on the style of football. A lot of my friends have given up their season tickets this year, due to a combination of high prices and poor home entertainment for the past couple of years.
OldNick Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 poor home entertainment for the past couple of years. It is amazing they won the FA cup and some are deserting. I dont doubt all clubs have similar fans of course.
RonManager Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 It is amazing they won the FA cup and some are deserting. I dont doubt all clubs have similar fans of course. Instant gratification culture
Scummer Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 It is amazing they won the FA cup and some are deserting. I dont doubt all clubs have similar fans of course. They are good fans as well to be fair, who have had season tickets for years and been going since we were kids (20+) years. I think i know at least half a dozen who have ditched their season tickets this year.
sotonist Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Hart did a job but no fan of any club would appoint him on the basis of his track record. It's just nothing.
PaulSaint Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 (edited) Saints Positives Good Manager Good Ground Good Training Facilities No Debt! Billionaire owner in it for the long term Negatives - 5/6 quality players short of a good squad Skates Positives Prem Money Negatives - Average Manager Awful Ground 2nd lowest prem attendances No owned Training Facilities 7/8 quality players short of a good squad Loads & Loads of debt! Dodgy new owner I reckon we will both be playing each other next year? Edited 17 July, 2009 by PaulSaint Better now

I feel for them with all that debt a stadium that stinks of ****, no facilities, I wonder if they still love Sacha for the cup run now. shame he did not invest in the club rather than his ego.
