hypochondriac Posted 16 July, 2009 Share Posted 16 July, 2009 (edited) Someone involved in the new regime. If you read his posts it is obvious: No disrespect but you would hope that our new management team would put procedures in place to avoid the club being so easily ripped off. To be safe would it not be better for you to buy two adult tickets or simply pay for an upgrade as and when you need it. You and your Dad will look a bit stupid if you try to blag it and the stewards do check as a result of tighter ticket controls implemented by the management team. Sounds like the club were throwing money away last year, mind you I think you could have handed them a till receipt and got in. I hope this loophole is tightened up, if the London Underground can tackle fair dodging why can't our club. Sums up my view and I feel Pardew whilst not the most obvious choice he does have a managerial pedigree at all levels of the game and we are only beginning to maybe understand the restrictions he was under at Charlton, worse than us maybe? Strachan was universally disliked at Coventry and apart from Lowe I cannot remember anyone jumping up and down over his appointment first time around and like Redknapp can probably only manage with an open chequebook. It appears there are no guarantees that our new manager will have an open ended budget so somebody of Pardew's considered approach as oppose to the fiery and at times weird approach of Strachan will be more suitable, certainly to a Swiss of German origin. Strachan peaked at Southampton, as anyone of us could manage Celtic especially as Rangers should no longer be able to compete financially at least for the time being and yet Strachan evened the playing field for them. We would be a monkey on Strachan's back and and vice versa and in life there are infinitely more reasons never to go back than to justify a return. I hope that this is the last we hear of Strachan in any capacity as we don't need a director of football with a manager of Pardew's experience. Tisdale would need one in my opinion as he has been working with Perryman and is still a one hit wonder. Therefore, I think that will rule Tisdale out and any other junior one club managers. Get the hire right and you don't a DoF. Edited 16 July, 2009 by hypochondriac

Johnny Bognor Posted 17 July, 2009 Share Posted 17 July, 2009 (edited) The poster speculator is clearly .......... GM's new attack dog, formerly known as Nineteen Canteen, Flashman, Sundance Beast. NC aluded to me getting on well with John Smith in a recent spat (he obviously has a problem with him). Well after 24 posts and a couple of days of posting regularly (predominently on GM's threads), his first 'victim' is John Smith. Coupled with the fact that he agrees with GM on his threads (which conveniently bumps them BTW) and writes in a simlar style to his previous incarnations, and they are both quite anti-strachan, it is pretty oobvious. I am not the only one who thinks this BTW Edited 17 July, 2009 by Johnny Bognor

Johnny Bognor Posted 17 July, 2009 Share Posted 17 July, 2009 Having read the second post, the thought had occurred to me too. There are difinitely similarities in the writing style. I notice that you have been on the receiving end too, which seems strange - a new poster manages to make the same enemies within 24 posts. There is also the over use of the word "noble" (which is not lost on me, don't ask why) which is more than coincidental as it is being used in a patronising way. Posted on sunday Johnny very noble, but ......... Posted on monday .....season ticket holders returning from their "noble boycott", but Posted on Tuesday That is very noble, but Why does noble always have to be followed by "but"???? Johnny Bognor Posted 17 July, 2009 Share Posted 17 July, 2009 It serves the same purpose as using "With respect", which means anything but... DSM, thanks for that, however I didn't want to know the technical reason (as I think that is obvious). I was looking at how the poster uses that "format", whereby "noble" is being used in a sarcastic / derrogatory fashion, when most people use it as a compliment. The fact it is being used in this way, by these 3 "different" posters in short succession, suggests that these "different" posters are in fact the same, especially when other factors are considered (posting times, the same intended targets, the same likes, the same dislikes, posting on the same type of threads, similar syntax). I think this is a case for Hong Kong Phooey.
