NickG Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 sounds like no announcement this week Ajax will be Henderson's 3rd game in charge. Suppose could be announcement tomorrow or Sat saying starting next week.
Appy Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I didn't really expect the new man to be in charge for saturday to be honest. Hopefully he can get started on monday.
thesaint sfc Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Didn't I hear somewhere that the new guy is supposed to be announced on Saturday after (presumably after) the game?
sussexsaint Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Probably people are making a lot of stuff up so I'm sure that would have come up somewhere
saint_stevo Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Maybe it will be like when Skacel was paraded about the place pre game? And turn out to be a big ******* let-down
Bourno Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 We don't want a new manager starting with a loss. Best if the new man takes the reigns after this game.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 some1 needs to pull there finger out, the longer we wait the more disappointed I will be if some idiot (Tony Adams) is appointed.
Scudamore Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 We don't want a new manager starting with a loss. Best if the new man takes the reigns after this game. Then loses to Hearts...
Greenridge Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 some1 needs to pull there finger out, the longer we wait the more disappointed I will be if some idiot (Tony Adams) is appointed. Yes it's been a whole week since Wotte was given the elbow. I'd rather we took our time and got the right man rather than just rush into yet another short term appointment. Clearly things are going on behind the scenes and for once it's being done in a low key and professional manner.
70's Mike Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 i believe that the person we want is in a job and the delay is negioating compensation with his/her current employer
Saint Lindford Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 i believe that the person we want is in a job and the delay is negioating compensation with his/her current employer If that was the case the surely the press would have been all over it like a rash as club gives us permisson to talk to him. Nothing like that has happened so would suggest that the top candidate is out of work at the moment.
glkdcdes Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 new manager pretty much the most important decision new board have to make, in reality if it takes 3 weeks but we get the right person so be it. I am pleased that we are not hearing leaks, so many of people involved previously im sure wanted to be looking good, serving themselves rather than the club, if you know what i mean.
derry Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Did Henderson play a wide 4-4-2 with two up front or is he another smart ass fiddling coach, playing something he thinks really clever, that nobody understands and doesn't work.

Ricky Redstripe Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 i believe that the person we want is in a job and the delay is negioating compensation with his/her current employer HER!!!!
RedAndWhite91 Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 On SSN Henderson was asked when an announcement on the appointment of a new manager would be made, whether it would be days, weeks, or whatever, and he replied that it would be a matter of days, and also that he expects to be in charge for the Ajax game. Did anybody else see this, Perry was interviewed also I think regarding player's contracts.

Didn't Wotte say the same...a few hours before he was 'dispensed' with? ;-) I personally think that a new manager will be announced whilst ML is in Southampton, so could be over this weekend.
krissyboy31 Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Henderson actually said he expected the appointment within days and said he would be preparing the team for the Ajax game "until he is told otherwise". That sounds to me that the new guy will be introduced either before or at HT of the Ajax game but SH will be the nominated manager for the game.
Thedelldays Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Pardew will be watching the game from the stands....so I guess. henderson will look after the team during the game so to speak
offix Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Play your hearts out boys! The new boss is watching, and he is big on discipline, fitness and commitment. If you want to play for Saints, under a good manager and with a good shot at promotion, then now is the time to show him that!
